Best Ferrari

I enjoy driving the F430 the most, and the old Ferrari is a very neutral car nice to throw around corners The F40 is fun on certain tracks.

The California. I don't think there is any question. The Cali is just plain faster (when tuned to the same PP level) than any other Ferrari in the game. It has great downforce without suffering much drag penalty for it. It has a 7-speed and shifts in microseconds. The Cali is so much better than most cars in the game (PP wise) that it amounts to a "cheater" car, much like the Tuned Clio.

ok...are you asking us for our personal opinions? or are you asking us so you can buy it without buying the lesser ferraris?

I'm getting the feeling that it's the latter (judging by the fact you also want a good tune - and you started another thread asking for easy cars to drive which had good grip).

You really need to go and develope you own opinions and not jast ask other for theirs. Mine change all the time. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a 599, sometimes a 512, sometimes a 430 and sometimes a california. It just depends on what your driving style is and what you feel like.

There is no "best" ferrari. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. As for a tune, the tuning garages can help you out. You haven't given us a track/PP level so we can't direct you any more than that.

Just please don't go around asking what the best car from this manufacturer or for that online event is. Because our opinions are different and you would be better off developing your own. 👍 :)

512 BB FTW, and use a tune from The Lion's Den, works every time.:sly:

Well it would depend on what you define best as, best = most fun, best = fastest etc.
If you want to know that fastest ( when tuned to the same pp ) it's definitely the California. Take a look at some of the Tuning garages for some great tunes. Here are a couple, there are more

I personally love the F40 and 512BB for the experience of driving them. the 512BB is a little bit higher than the F40 on my list, though, just because it feels like you're driving a normal road car that has a little more under the hood, whereas the F40 feels like a full-fledged racecar.

As said, it depends in what context. Fun factor, speed, value, ease of use, appearance, nostalga. The list goes on but in the end, they're all pretty great.

The F430 is a technical masterpiece, great handling, noise, power, it's all there. The 599 then steps in as a big heavy grand tourer packing a fantastic motor and noise, bags of acceleration but not the best handling car in the world, although it's not exactly shabby all things considered.

Then the old Ferraris bring something which should be just as important but sadly seem lost in this modern world of online racing obsession. Character, I personally can't drive the F40 without smiling like a small child, it's nowhere near as stable or as quick round a bend as an F430 but it's an absolute blast to drive.

Unfortunately, I've never spent much time with the 512BB but thats something for me to do in the coming days.

I don't think muscle cars ever lost it.;)

I was referring to the GT5P player rather then the cars themselves. Many of the cars in GT5P offer character infact every car there is has character of some sort, but the speed obsession often means people overlook that and focus purely on speed.

The reason I singled out the old Ferraris is that there just aren't many older cars in the game so they are just that bit more unique then the majority.

I have adored the 599 since it released. This large 620hp V12 is sure to please anyone. With a good tune that would stop all the understeer, this penguin will fly.

I prefer the 599 myself, sure the 430 does handle slightly better in the turns but we're talking about a ferrari here and the 599 is certainly no dog in the turns!!!

You can get through any of the turns fast enough driving it and once u come out of it the acceleration and speed of the thing puts the 430 to shame.

I like it, lots:bowdown:

For me, the 512bb hands-down. The problem when you ask for "best", is that everyone has a different driving style, different taste, and different definition of "best". Is the 512bb as good-handling as the California? Nope, not even close. But it is a hell of a lot more fun (for me)! Me and the 512 man, we really communicate. The other Ferraris are just to "tame" and too "poised" for my taste. I like a little wild.

For reference, my favorite GT4 car is the Yellowbird, hands-down. Hope that gives you an idea where I'm coming from.

512BB - sound of a Ferrari flat 12...
But I enjoy driving the F40 the most for its looks and because it was always my dream Ferrari. Nice to have some epic turbo lag too

The F430, but just to have fun,
I like driving the 512BB a lot... Especially on Suzuka.

The 599 has a great sound but, it doesn't handle like I want it to.
The F40 is a car that is so epic, I take it for a drive from time to time too.

And for the california.. I haven't driven it much till now,so I can't give my opinion on it.

Shameless plug Paulie! I don't blame you though. Your tunes do work very well.

I must say i love the 599 on some tracks, the F40 on others and the California on others. It's all relative. But i probably like the 599 more due to the fact i love the ferrari GT cars. Shame there is no 575 Maranello :(

I'd say the California is my favourite but the F430 is probably the fastest overall. The 599 is good on tracks with long straights but its tough to control in the corners due to its torque.

512 is my favourite Ferrari, it's just a fun car whether you're drifting or hotlapping.

F40 for driving .. and the fact it is such a hard core race car and an awesome bit of machinery
430 for racing
