I disagree with the OP, because
not all agree with the OP. Not
all of GT6's songs are
that terrible.
Only those made by daiki kasho are great when it comes to racing songs. Preferably from daiki, I like:
- Day to Live (which is GT5's ending song and I'm glad they've kept this song)
- Surviv3 (which is GT5 Prologue's theme)
- We Are One (GT6's ending theme and this song really fits Kazunori Yamauchi's race in the 24 Hours in Nurburgring 2013 race)
- All My Life (I prefer the one with the awesome and kickass intro seen in the opening movie, not the one from the in-game OST even though it's good on its own...)
It's this one as searched up on YT:
I used the YT to MP3 converter and put it in my USB SLS AMG which of course came as part of my GT6 Asia-exclusive pre-order.
- It's All About You (My most fav song from daiki since GT4)
- 5OUL ON DISPLAY (This is also the pre-race preparation theme for the Super License Endurance races asides from returning from GT5)
- AL1V3
- EDGE OF THE WORLD (2012 GT ASIA championship Mix)
- Place in this world
- Looking for you
- TURBO (The song reminded me of Obsure off the GT3 soundtrack for some reason; must be the guitar riffs...)
Then from Masahiro Andoh, we have his
GT5 Prologue and
GT5 versions of Moon Over The Castle. I liked the opening part of GT5 Prologue version, but I like GT5 version better. Glad these were played after and before the GT World Championship final IA race respectively, and I'm glad I've won these two songs upon winning that race alongside daiki's We Are One.
I also want to determine the song name and the artist who did it for the Novice class pre-race music which had that J-Rock feel...
Other in-race rock songs I like are:
- Burn Out and Invincible by Nittoku Inoue (I like Burn Out more though)
- Washed Up by Bad Sports
- Highway by Wolfmother (ROADTRIP!
For the Dance & Electronic genre (some of it are also Menu music):
- Black Mist, Flying Easy, and The Call by MAKOTO
- Maelstrom and The New Black by Roll The Dice (the theme song of the Lunar Exploration mission Special Event)
- Right After The Break by Taku Yoshioka feat. YAMATO
- Pearl's Girl by Underworld
- Over There (Bingo) by The Egg
Now for the menu music:
For the Bossanova genre:
For the Jazz genre:
- Brooklyn Bridge by Daisuke Kawai
- Afterglow and Mesmerism by Satoshi Bando
- Mr. Svensson's Coffeebreak in Heaven, Nostalgic Rain, and Serenade for the Travelers by Taku Yabuki
- Dirty Cat Blues, Slow Life With Sunshine, and Time To Rest by Yu Manabe
- Gently, The Moon Always Watches You, Get on!!!, Night birds, and The power of GT by Yudai Satoh
For the Lounge genre:
- Lotus in dam by Akimasa Yamada (prismedia)
- The hat flew away by wind by annayamada
- Cone Pone Tone by FilFla
- Be At Home, Don't Kick Yourself, From The East to The West, and Take A Break by Isamu Ohira (these were in past GTs, specifically GT2 and GT3)
- Easy Drive by Keiji Inai (the first menu song I've heard when it was my first time playing GT6); also I'd like to add his other works Sunset Breeze and Whispering Wind
- Casino Drive, Dream World, Electric Sky, Juicy Funk Roots, Like A Bird, and Marshland by KEMMEI
- After The Rain, Boogle Back, Journey to the One, New Beginning, Quick Slick, Rising, and The Trip by MAKOTO
- Vis by mergrim (I agree with SkyThon here; wanna race with me sometime, SkyThon?)
- Gurney's Eagle by Naoki "naotyu-" Chiba
- Keep The Faith by Shinji Akita
- A slowly day, Another Planet, and Let me see your mind by Tyme.
- Age of Aquarius and ALONY by Yuki Oike
- 8va Curves, Bevel Gearing, and Exponential TimeLine by Yuto Takei (Glad 8va Curves from GT5 remained!)
And that's it for me...!
Note: I'm using GT6's Library section right now to do this for I have a tendency to forget... And sorry if it's long. Just as much as I like a wide variety of cars in my GT6 garage, I like a wide variety of music too!
But I do respect those who think otherwise, as I too like to put my own music in my PS3 and use them as my GT6 OST just in case anyone doesn't like the music offered in-game. We can start by downloading MP3s of awesome racing tunes like daiki kasho's five GT3 A-Spec OSTs (Glowl, Mirage, Obscure, Sky Scraper, and Strike Breaker) for starters.
