So I posted in another thread that I found copies of GT,GT3,GT4, and a PS2 that works! I do have a PS3 and GT5P, only missing GT2. So my questoin is which one is the best/most fun to play? This is opinion only so lets not argue, just state your OPINIONS and why. The reason I ask is because I hear alot of reference to GT2 and thats the only one I don't have so I can't go check for myself.

GT2 is a huge game. I love tuning my car in GT2, wide variety means great replay value.

GT4 has more, but AI is too dummy than GT2.

GT5P is great, but it isn't full game, has limited features.

I love the variety in GT series. So far, GT4 has the widest variety but GT2 has better AI (in my opinion) and customizing features.

GT2 is probably the best one, no matter when you pick it up it feels great to play and doesn't feel aged gameplay wise.

BTW on my GT4 game box there is mentioned 700 cars number. Is that the real number? I thought there are more than that. GT2 had 650 cars right?

GT2 was better than GT1 because of its huge content. GT3 was good but overall i think GT4 has more playability because again its got so much more content.

GT2 and GT4 are probably the ones you want to play. GT1 and GT3 are both great games too, but don't quite rank up in my opinion, there isn't enough in those games to occupy you for as long as the other two.

If you didn't play GT2, you haven't tested your driving skills yet....

GT2 is the best one overall, but GT4....it has, La Sarthe, Nordschleife, Suzuka, Fuji.....there's nothing than racing a endurance race in a track like these.....

GT2 is fantastic, but only if you can see beyond the graphics. It's nice and simple, and encompasses what GT is. Buy, race, lose, improve, upgrade, repeat, win!

Get yourself a copy and get playing.

I did play GT2 but don't have a copy of it now, I am going to go try and find a copy. I think there was a prologue and a HD in there somewhere but I have no interest in those right now, maybe after GT5 is out I will get them just to say I have the entire GT collection.

I could not agree more with you !!

That's exactly the GT games i have owned thus far...

One GT game for each PS ;)

Looking forward to GT5 because i expect to be at least the combination of GT2, GT4, and GT5P!

Prologue is pretty good too, the graphics are simply overwhelming....

GT2 is awesome, because of the great number of cars, the collection of tracks ( it has red rock valley, which I consider much better than the High Speed Ring, Grindelwald, wow, what a track, Eiger can't even be compared to it..) and a challenging Simulation Mode.......

Hard choice between GT1 and GT3, but I have to go for GT1. The first one had the biggest impact on me. I'm kinda surprised that noone has placed GT1 on the first spot. With GT1 the GT franchise started, there was no racegame that even came close. It was so different than other racegames, with alot of cars and tracks, more realistic physics, license tests, tuning your car, etc. It hit like a bomb, I remember everyone at school talking about it, because it was totally new.

It's a bit like with GTA. Sure, Vice City was bigger and had motorcycles and San Andreas was much bigger with many more features, but they didn't had the same impact for me as GTA 3 had. For the first time we could play GTA in 3D, with a open 3D city, which was quite something back then.

So although the successors have more features and are bigger with better graphics and stuff, for me it's about which one had the biggest impact, and that's GT1. Best racegame ever imo.

Humm......

1 - GT2 (Best car game in PS1) = Good variety of track and cars (Pike peaks... the HKS Drag cars...)

2 - GT4 (Best car game in PS2) = Tons of tracks, cars, setups. . . a real car enciclopedia

3 - GT5 Prologue (Best car game in PS3) = Excellent graphics and gameplay . . . a reference.

All of GT's are a masterpiece in race simulation!

In terms of pure game-play GT5P wins so far, in term of content GT4 is best for me. I hope GT5 will blow me away!

I played GT5p, GT4 and some others GT that I don't remember (played at my friends house).

For me is GT5p, great new cars, awsm graphic, great physics. Overall it's just great!

For me, by now, GT4. It is really different of GT3, more and better.

And I was thinking to say in second place, GT2, but as GT PSP already has the fabulous Catalog in the car menu, I really don't miss the second part anymore.

GT5P, but it is missing sooo much from a full GT game so then it's GT4. Switches back and forth depending on my mood.
