Well there's the title.

Share what game/movie/TV Show OST you've heard and loved the most.

I personally say Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Was a perfect game. And the music in it was just mind-blowing!

+1 For Vice City.

The most obvious one that comes to mind is that of the Ace Combat series.
Ace Combat 4 and Zero have some of the best scores in any game, just listen to "Zero", or "Farbanti".

I still love the songs chosen for GT4. I reckon that will forever be one of the best soudtracks I've heard.

Apart from that, I have to say the Deus Ex: Human Revolution OST is one of the greatest ever made. The ambient, combat and cinematic tracks are all immense and so atmospheric. Michael McCann definitely nailed it with that soundtrack.

I've never understood the love for GTA games radio... Of course I hate almost everything the 80's had to offer.

Since 'shows' is included Sons of Anarchy has by far the best music of any show I've ever seen.

Black Mountain
The Brought Low
Clutch
CCR
Dixie Witch
Fireball Ministry
Fu Manchu
Greenleaf
Katey Sagal
Monster Magnet
Sasquatch
Toadies
The Warlocks

Seriously good stuff. And a bunch of other good stuff that I didn't mention.

The Idolm@ster OST
Angel Beats OST
K-On OST
The Persona series OST
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA OST

All of them are really awesome.

I can't just list one haha.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1-4
Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 1-2
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 1-2
Crazy Taxi PC and PS2. Had different soundtracks for PC & PS2 haha.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2

Crazy Taxi!!!!

For games.. Well, I only ever listened to V-Rock, so I say Vice City as well.

For movies, none come to mind off the top of my head, but I liked the part in Jackass where they had a demo derby with a Rent-A-Car and Slayer's "Angel Of Death" was playing.

I would agree with you there. That game was awesome, with an awesome soundtrack.

2000-2005 games where amazing

Gran Turismo 2 had some decent songs like "Dragula" by Rob Zombie, "Sex Type Thing" by Stone Temple Pilots, "My Favorite Game" by the Cardigans. I think Garbage was on there too. Idk I'm 25 and those are all musical groups I grew up with.

Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy X / IX / VII / VIII
Need for Speed: Porsche 2000/Porsche Unleashed (PC)
Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit
Auto Modellista
Enthusia Professional Racing
SSX Tricky
Wip3out
Gran Turismo 4 (menu music)

+ many others I can't recall..

Vice City isn't an OST. None of it is original. It's a LST.

Best OST? Tie between, Deus Ex:HR, Castlevania: SotN and Final Fantasy Tactics. Oh and Lost Odysseys OST is dope too.

Oh Final Fantasy music!

I just got into it this summer. I played 13 with my cousins & it's better than any racing game lmao.

Castle Crashers.

Winter Bliss, Thieve's Forest, and Race Around the World are glorious.

OST?
Burnout 2 and Uncharted 1 were my favorites.

LST would have to be Midnight Club 3 and LA, also Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, and WipEout HD/Fury.

My favourites:

Pretty much any MGS (doesn't include MG, I'm not into chiptune)
Pretty much any Hitman, Blood Money is spectacular though
Pretty much any Wipeout (2097, 3 and HD Fury are my top 3)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution for sure
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and the 3D edition remixes. Got to love Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, Lorn and Daedelus!

As for films: Moon, Black Swan, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Fight Club... Can't think of any more now.

I have some pretty clear favourites as far as soundtracks go:

Video game: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, this soundtrack alone changed how I felt about music. It pretty much singlehandedly got me into punk rock and since then I've diversified a whole lot.

Television: Hey Arnold!, specifically the first season which has some fantastic jazz tunes.

Film: O' Brother, Where Art Thou?, there's some fantastic traditional American folk, country and bluegrass songs on this soundtrack, all of which are a few genres that I've become quite accustomed to in the last 3-4 years.

Video Games

For video games nobody beats the Final Fantasy series... nobody. It's game after game of brilliance - perfectly matched to the game.

...and if you're listing games that just group songs that have been released prior, look up the definition of OST.

Television

The new Battlestar Galactica is waaaay up there. Game of thrones deserves a mention for the credits. Dexter creates mood really well from the soundtrack. I'd go with Battlestar.

Film

This is a huge... huge list. Braveheart obviously deserves a mention. The LOTR trilogy had phenomenal music. Last of the Mohicans is kindof a one-tricky pony, but it's a great trick. Batman Begins, The Matrix, Glory, Legends of the Fall, Road to Perdition, Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Edward Scissorhands, Medicine Man, Star Wars, Crash, Gladiator, Perfect Storm, Saving Private Ryan, Dances with Wolves, Truman Show, Dark City, Chariots of Fire, 1492 Conquest of Paradise, Dragon the Bruce Lee Story, Crimson Tide, DaVinci Code, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Apollo 13, the 5th Element...

Very hard to pick....

My first reaction is that it's between Braveheart and Gladiator. Each was perfect for the respective movie, but I'd have to give the nod to Braveheart.

Game: Hitman Blood Money and all the GTA titles (though not original)

Film: Without a doubt... Once upon a time in the west.
