Best LM Race Car

just wondering what everyone's favorite LM race car is based on performance.

oh and I left the R390 LM out because obviously it's the best performing. 1130hp GODDAMN!

I like the Altezza LM. Nice turning, and high performance. Second would have to be the Rex.

i voted the S2000, 2nd the RX-7
The altezza is well....uumm...a little too plain for my liking. Havent driven it much so i can't complain too much. The FTO is fast though and the 4WD certainly helps on some tracks.

i voted for the suabru LM because its stylish and hugs corners very well..and aslo i don't like the Alteeza that much and i only have like 500 millage on it..but i certainly like the FTo lm as well fast accel, and hadles great too..the rest are ok the s2000 and the rx-7.

haahh..if u want sliding try the 787b if u push it to hard on the gas and trun hard on the direction u want it u can do a drift with the 787b..

The R390 is a real car though. The ones you put in the poll are only fantasy LM cars. I would say you got the selection right.

There is one more fantasy car in GT3 which is the Camaro Race Car.

Well dont forget that you dont need the tag "LM" to be a Le Mans racer...

The 787b was the only japennesse car to win the 24hrs. overall.

The gt40 also did that.

The viper oreca and vette racer are both Le Mans cars.

The Gt one came in second place at Le Mans.

A number of cars I havent mentioned are all Le Mans cars and with all that in mind...

I would say that I cant make up my mind on what the best LM car is.

Gt- alteeza touring car

I also think those are just a few of the greats...

I love a bunch of the other racers like the...

The cars in the poll are not real LM cars they are fantasy. Those you mention are real LM cars.

the RX7 is ok...but I don't really like the looks...my favourite out of all of them excluding the R390 LM is the Impreza LM good looks, good performance...the FTO has good performance too....but the looks are a bit shabby...and I also like the S2000 LM preferably red....

and for a car that is loose in the rear try the shellby cobra w/o asm or tsc, stock

The LM tag in GT3 is actually misleading.

As you say the R390, 787B, Viper and Corvette C5R are all Lemans Racers (or have raced at Le Mans). But not all of them have LM in their name. I assume this is because their real names do not include LM.

The following are fantasy cars:

S2000 LM Car
RX7 LM Car
Imprezza LM Car
FTO LM Car
Altezza LM Car
Camaro Race Car (note no LM)

The LM may indicate here that this is what the cars may be like IF they raced at Le Mans. They could all be called S2000 Fantasy Race Car etc to make it clearer.

We had a pretty solid debate about this topic a while ago - I did some digging and found that the NSX, Supra and R33 Skyline had in fact run at Le Mans in an 'LM Spec' category.

We came to the conclusion that these cars were 'inspired' by the Japanese Le Mans cars, and were based around that category.

I also want ask what was meant by the "gokents post once again heaps" ?

Anyway...

I think the major point in my post was the idea that there were cars left out as well as cars in the game that are LM racers, which aren't labeled as such.

I reckon they should have a Demio LM Car in the next GT game. Like Ving I have found a Dream Car that noone else dreams about.

After watching those two live in Sebring, I believe they are the teams to watch.

I forgot, S2000. Ever since the day I laid eyes on it, A beautiful White one, I wanted it. Drives like a dream for the Factory stock one. After my buddy did some work to his, it turned to a cream dream. The same goes for this LM racer.
