Best long distance tires

Not an absolute truth, I'd say.

It highly depends on the car and course, for example the '04 Pescarolo has such a high fuel consumption compared to tyre wear that R1 tyres are useless, the car will run out of gas long before the tyres go out. If I recall correctly it could run with R3 in the front and R2 in the rear, and only then wear the tyres out before the tank was empty.

As Greycap said highly depends on car, and also if you use B-spec Bob.
Atleast with me Bob is a lot more careful with the tyres than i can ever be :P

...the '04 Pescarolo has such a high fuel consumption .

Doesnt that car have low fuel consumption?

As for the question, depends.. using the hardest tires may not be the best choiec all the time because, one you have the least amount of grip, 2) A or B Spec, something will cause you to slightly screw up on a corner, or from a bump. Then the ungrippy tires prevent much traction for you to pick up on, thus slowing down, thus inefficient...

My Recommendation is R2, good life but not too slicked.. :)
