I personally like the Spirit Type R. However, like I said, that's just my personal like.

RX7 Spirit R Type A (FD) 02

Brief Description:

Fun and addictive to drift around any course your willing to find the "line" on. Controller used (very difficult with G27). I have been asked to join teams, gotten compliments online, asked to share settings etc. If you need a controllable drifter then don't expect this car to be it straight away (for most). It is however capable of close precision drifting (tandem maybe)

WARNING: Car is loose and may seem like it is uncontrollable at first ( even in a straight line if your new to this). Technique is to brake evenly to move weight to the front, then push back out (handbrake) on entry and floor it, tap the accelerator repeatedly to maintain drift at the same time counter steering.

Upgrades:

Everything in tune shop maxxed out except turbo (get stage 2 turbo)
Aero parts & oil change in GT Auto
Tires comfort hard/ comfort med (both are good)

Settings:

Downforce: 15 (rear)
Ballast amount: 5
Ballast Position: -50

Power Limiter: 504 bhp

Transmission: Max speed 316km/h

LSD: 10, 40, 20 (top to bottom)

SUSPENSION (front / rear)

Camber: 3.9 / 0.0
Toe Angle: 0.00 / 0.70

Ride Height: -15 / -12
Spring Rate: 8.4 / 6.3
Dampers Ext: 5 / 5
Dampers Com: 5 / 5
Anti Roll: 4 / 3

Brakes: 8 / 3.9

Hope you enjoy it as much as i do. PSN: klevrah

RX-7 Bathurst FD is way better, almost a cheatty car. But i use the Spirit, due the smaller rear wing and be more realistic to what it is IRL.

Build up an RX7 exactly the way klevrah advises. You'll be throwing this car around in no time. As he says, the secret is to use the brake pedal to shove the nose down then yank the handbrake and blip the gas. This car is absolutely foolproof and a blast to drive.

Not sure, I wonder which mx5 is best for drifting. I'll just go create a new thread to ask people now - wait no, because then that would be as pointless as this thread.

the falken bp rx7 is the best one for drifting because in psp it comes stock with the most genius suspension tuning

( springs = 2 damper =7 . . . except I increase springs to 3 + lower it to the max )

this way to tune the suspension is genius because the soft springs can store a lot of weight before you are ready to unleash it on the pavement and the dampers regulate the rate it is unleashed (nice and evenly)

I like the FC over the FD mainly because it's 50/50 weight distribution and mid range power but you can't go wrong with the FD either. It's a personal choice I guess.

What tires are you rolling on those settings? If I had to guess from your other settings I would say Comforts. Am I right?

man there is so much debate over CH vs CS but I just realised ! ! !

CM is right in the middle, it slides great when you lean onto 'em but they hooks up on demand too, ITS PRO! ! ! !

why doesn't everyone just start thrashing on CM ? ? ?

one thing I would say about klevrah's tune is . . .
anti roll is such a weird setting it doesnt seem to work properly or something so I just always turn it to 1 and then just tune spring camber like it was gt psp . . .

after that, I try to make the front and back even and then balance the weight with the ballast instead of balancing the car with suspension. applied to the klevrah tune I would be like -15 front and back
7 springs front and back
5 damper front and back

(except actually I would do like 4 springs and 8 damper, =3 )

and like fatty toe out in the front like anywhere between -35 and -60
and some mild toe out in the back like between -15 to -5

and camber I would do like .6 in the back and anywhere between like 2.2-3.8 in front

oh oh oh and brakes, since everything else is balanced and ballast in the trunk, I would make them like 5/5 or 4/5 or something like that,
I do ABS off so I make the brakes less strong but if you use ABS 1 or like to lock the breaks use like 6/6 or 6/7

comfort hards bro. When I was learning I used comfort med tyres. But now I just roll on CH in any car.
