Why do I spend the whole lap sideways?

I've got ASM off (as I think it'll kill power too much in the turns) and TC set to 1. What settings are you using?

My current time is 2:31 ish :guilty:

My first season was with the ds3 and got a best of 2.28.xx gonna crack the dfgt out later and see what I can do all I can tell is it's a drivers circuit the one with the best car control and line selection as some of the corners require a non standard approach to them

yeh i had my first go on this last night. only did about 9 laps and got 2.26 but i did have traction on 2 and abs on 5. im going to test other settings today

I prefer at ABS 1, everything else off. The little bit of slide does actually help you in the corners, but I find it a bit unpredictable at times. Im currently running 2:21.167. Hopefully find some time tomorrow to improve that. Theres easily another couple of seconds.

The best way to do the lap is to almost roll around it, when i stopped pumping the throttle too much i dropped from 2.30 to 2.21 within a few laps and even that lap had many mistakes so more time can easily found by simply being smoother (its not an easy car to drive). Be very smooth coming off the brakes as if you come off them fast the car will go sideways, key is to be smooth and dont use much throttle, just keep it rolling.

Dont be afraid to use the brakes and the throttle at the same time, it will cause natural understeer and you can use it to keep the speed up, that can help with the unstable car.

As for me, i was quite high ranked when i set a time yesterday, but i'm not even in the top 200 anymore, shows how fast people learn. I'm gonna try to find an hour this weekend to get into the low 2.19's, after that is where the serious time is found.

I just tried it with a DS3 and got 2:22.667 after 14 laps with ABS 1 everything else off, looks like I won't be competing this year as I don't have room for my G25 setup:ill:

TCS 5, ABS 1, everything else is off. Standard PS3 six-axis controller. I can't handle the slipperyness of the comfort tyres without the TCS up that high....

2:23.1 in roughly 25 laps, but I generally race with the line on, so having the line not there means it'll take me an entire ice age to work out how to get round the track fast :)

You'll find the only way to compete with the leaders is to use what they use, which is 99% of the time going to be ABS 1, everything else OFF.

Download one of the ghost replays from the top 10 in your region. Has helped me immensely to learn the lines of the track 👍

This has allowed me to take 9secs of my time now down to2.23.9. Using the top ghost replay I can stay within a second until the 90right after the corckscrew then they just trounce me. But I am losing time in the last sector just need more laps oh I am still using the controller

I completely suck on this track lol

Im like 10 or 15 seconds off your times and I keep crashing d'oh....
Im gonna tweak the settings and see how I go....I hate this track btw

I like this track. If it was an easy track then it wouldn't be a challenge. I actually want to download this track and play with my friends on it.

Anyway, sliding kills your time, especially when exiting a corner. It may be fun but you'll need to avoid to gain good speed.

today was my first day on GTAc. I did 2:20:0xx with DS3.

Next week i'll try a faster lap... i know i can do it, just take time.

p.s.: i just play on weekends xD

ABS 1
Everything else off, first go i managed a 2:19:xxx, with a PAD :)

Sorry for doubting you, but I find it hard to believe that ANYONE could post a sub 2.20 lap on their first go. You have to know the track inside out to get under this time.

Can't see your time on the leaderboard.

I noticed a lot of the top times use Active steering on Strong, gave it a go, and it seems ok. It softens harsh weight transition.
