Thank you very much, im a long time reader, first time poster.

And there being so many skylines in the game it is impossible to tell which is the best

Their is no best Skyline personaly. I got NEW R34 all the way back to the oldies in the Used Car Lot. Each one dose the job on the right track.

The prize versions arnt that bad, just dont feel as fast like when I built the P-Ride some 500hp just didnt have the go. Some have really bad Turbo lag as well. FED EX 300ZX !!!!!!

Tommy Kaira R is ok, even though it's simply a Skyline remodeled like RUF to Porsche. I also dislike the turbo lag on the R but still fun to drive.

I love the looks of the Tommy Kaira R, but I don't think it's 665hp is any comparison to the R34's 774. I love my R34, one of my fav's.

saleen man, are u talking about fullly tuned hp's? cos i thought the R is a bit more than 665! remember, its been a while... dad hasnt stopped playing colin mcrae rally, and its ****ting me! 😈

The R34 Calsonic is quite nice. Good power, good handling, GREAT Tourque.

The R34 Arta/Zexel is just as good, but I like the apearance of the Calsonic better.

.....As far as the "stock/showroom" cars go, I'd say the Regular R34 is better than the R34 V-Spec.

Of the non [R] Skylines in GT-2, The R 34 is the one that will give you the best HP figures. It maxes at 774, which is about 100 HP more than the chassis likes. Tune it to run the "591's" and it will serve you well and be easy to drive.
My personal preference is the R32. It handles great. Even near max buildable HP it is fairly docile, goes where its pointed...all the good stuff a fast car is supposed to do.
In my experience with GT2 the Nissans, especially the Skylines were the "big dogs". Easiest to build a "Beast" out of. Even the Pulsars are awsome in GT2.
GT 3 is geared toward the Lancer as the "big dog" among the non race cars.

The Skylines that you can buy (Not win....and not the R34 Penzoil) don't corner very well....they just don't turn well

..........it's just a so-so cornering car, to much understeer.

(try a -.20/.20 toe, raise up the rear end 10mm higher than the front to try and fix the understeer problem)

It's best to just take it easy inthe corners, then power out like hell. lol

The 774hp R34 Skyline's have the ABSOLUTE best holeshot/60-ft times in the game...better than the 1000hp Silvia and R33 HKS cars.

I just drift through the corners in the R34 V-Spec. With all four tires pushing the car it's very manageable. I used it to win the Seattle Endurance and couldn't have been happier.
