Just to let you know, if there's already a thread like this I'm sincerely sorry.

As the title says, what is the best Super GT car? And by that I mean:
-What is the best PP-wise car?
-Best-looking car?
-Best car to drive without driving aids?
-Best tuned up car?

All that stuff. You can post your opinions here.

My vote is the yellowhat gtr. But I think there all the same. And it has a strobe lights when ya hold the light button. Just play some techno, and smoke the tires, and you'll be racing and raving at the same time haha!!!

Xanavi Nismo Z with 609 PP.
Castrol Supra.
Castrol Supra.
Castrol Supra.

i agree with manford (about the not so sure on the techno!) but yh most of the supergt handle pretty much the same but i got a yellow hat gtr because it was yellow! and it handles like an dream with some extra powwwweeeerrrr mine running over 700 ;)

they all have flashing lights (used for passing) as far as acceleration goes the NSXs run on the GT-Rs, the hard part is handling them, the SC430s are nimble around corners but don't seem to accelerate as hard as the GT-Rs and NSXs do

The Tom's SC430 is my favorite. With a "Little" help from a Turbo, Its easily as fast as a GTR on the Straights, and can own everyone in the turns. Plus, the green and white paint is somewhat similar to Mercedes GP....

i have to say i'm surprised only one person so far has gone for the nsx. i agree, they seem to be quicker off the line, i've got a lightly tuned NSX (can't remember which sponsor) that i use for the SuperGT races and the Diablo, which gets my vote for the best looking :D

Yes indeed..... The TOM'S SC430 has to be my favourite at the moment. And as for the colours.......... Merc GP 2011 World Champions - M.Schumacher 2011 World Champion.

Closely followed in my opinion by

TOM'S Castrol Supra ( Premium )
Yellow Hat Supra
Dunlop Direzza SC430

P.S. All the cars handle differently TBH.

-What is the best PP-wise car?
Well, the Xanavi Nismo Z must be it b/c it starts off with the highest available HP of them all. However, I discount this one kinda for that reason. It has too much of a starting advantage, so the rest of my comments exclude it from consideration...

-Best-looking car?
Really hard for me to answer this one. I like 3 of them. In order, I'd probably say the Xanavi Nismo GT-R, the Petronas Tom's SC430, and then the Raybrig NSX.

-Best car to drive without driving aids?
For me, the Xanavi GT-R is the most stable by far. It handles like a dream and is sneaky fast, especially after the engine breaks in, after tuning the LSD, suspension, etc. of course. After tuning the Raybrig NSX, that thing handles like a force and accelerates like a beast. Without a good tune on it though, you'll be swapping ends real easy out of the turns.

-Best tuned up car?
No idea. I drive mine stock, but with oil change and racing soft tires, but my guess would be the Xanavi GT-R. I tune my Super GTs with the available tunes in some of the tuning garages here. Motor City Tunes has some really great tunes on these cars. His tune for the Xanavi GT-R is dynamite. He'll be posting a Raybrig NSX tune soon (in the middle of the tuning competition now) that I'm sure will be the bomb!

-What is the best PP-wise car?
Nomad Diablo with 617 or 629 with max aero, if you want to count him as SuperGT
-Best-looking car?
For me the Impul GT-R
-Best car to drive without driving aids?
I really enjoy driving the Motul Autech GT-R with Lion's tuning, or the Arta NSX '00 with stock setup
-Best tuned up car?
I don't know how many PP the Nismo Z gets, but I'm quite sure the Diablo has more with 676

PP-wise - stealth Nissan GT-R GT500
Looks - ENEOS SC430 or Petronas Tom's SC430
Without aids - iono
Tuned up - tuning garages got these car tuned, so iono too.

Really? That's interesting.
I've been waiting for a good tuning setup for the Raybrig NSX. IMO, it's the best looking car.

Yeah that competition was canceled b/c not enough tunes were turned in. he should be posting soon if not already. Search for the tuning competition thread and you should find the raybrig nsx tunes that were turned in posted there...

Best GT500 probably depends on the track you are racing. I think I have all of them and really like the Takata Dome NSX on Suzuka.

I never modify my GT 300/500 cars. They are beautifully balanced the way they are. More power is not needed to have fun driving them.

The premium cars always look better to me. Sharper, better detailed, and cleaner lines. But, I think the Zexel Pennzoil GTR paint scheme is pretty nice. And I also like the Loctite GTR for sentimental reasons.

In the GT300 class, the Subaru CUSCO premium is a great car.

alls i know is that i don't really like the nsx. it understeers like crazy, and it took me a while to tune it up so that it didn't understeer. it still understeers quite a bit upon corner exit, though. the gt-r's and supras dont understeer as much, seeing as theyre front engine, so you should have good luck with those.

Here's those tunes from the Tuner's Championship thread...

These won't be part of the competition, but any driver interested in pitting them head to head is encouraged to do so. Write a review or comparison, whatever you please. I'd like to thank both budious and Hami for entering their tunes, I apologize that they won't be included in the competition :(

I'm in a Super GT championship with 28 drivers, most drivers are at a very high standard. We run races with individual PPs for the different cars to make them perform even. After five races, the top of the championship has a nice mix of the different cars so I think the PPs for the cars are pretty solid. They are:

Honda NSX: 607PP
Nissan GT-R: 613PP
Lexus SC430: 615PP
Nissan "Z": 618PP
Castrol Supra: 618PP

So the best PP car is the NSX. Every PP gives about 4hp so if you run races with the same PP for all cars, the NSX will have the advantage. But the NSX is by far the most difficult car to drive over long races. Most people in the championship are using the GT-R, and it is the easiest car to tune and drive well.
