My brother recently got a Dell XPS 200, and it's a decent enough computer overall. Thing is, he wants to play games on it. Slender, Minecraft, things like that. I told him that there is no way the integrated GPU on a 2006 PC would run those games. So I decided I'd buy him a video card so that he can play something on it. But I need help, the PC is fairly thin and I'm not sure what type of expansion slot it is, and I've already searched around and all the ones I've found seem to be too big for it, so I thought I'd turn to GTP.

Well, what video card is the best for the Dell XPS 200?

Assuming this is the computer case:

Not many great options for a couple of reasons.

1. Need a low profile graphics cards. Easy enough to find one.

2. Most decent graphics cards will require a 6-pin power supply connection. I had a similar dell on my bench to fix a while back, and I don't remember seeing that 6-pin connector on the power supply. I could be wrong. It would look like this.

If you have additional molex connectors, and you probably don't because those dells usually only come with enough to power what's in them. You could get an adapter like this:

Some graphics cards will come with that adapter.

Even if you did have the extra molex connectors or the 6-pin connector, there's also the chance that the power supply won't have enough juice to power the graphics card.

If it were me I'd look for a low profile graphics card that doesn't require that 6-pin connector.

Google searched "low profile graphics card without 6 pin connector" and looked at that tom's hardware post.

Hope that helps.

Well, it's a start.
A post on there recommended a HD7750 Low Profile but I don't know how much power it consumes/not sure if the PSU will handle it. I've been looking around and I think I saw a 9800GT Low Profile, so if the HD7750 is too much for the PSU than the 9800GT is certainly a possibilty. But before any of this, I have to see what kinda cables are in the PC. Now I just have to wait until my brother gets here.

You will need at least a 400W PSU for either the HD 7750 or the 9800GT. I'm thinking no matter what, you will need a power supply upgrade to support either one.

Edit: I think I found you one. It is not cheap but you don't find these things normally. It comes with the require power connectors for the HD 7750. Personally I would skip the 9800 GT because it's old(Directx 9 vs Directx 11 on the HD 7750) and very hot in a small case. Make sure you check the dimensions and make sure it will fit inside your case.
