Best way to get photos from PS3 to your Desktop?

So I've been uploading the photos I've taken in GT to the internet, copying them off the Gran Turismo website and saving them onto my desktop. Problem is, there's obviously some kind of quality degradation going on because they're not in 1080p format, and the image is blurred and not as dynamic.

Either that or I'm a terrible photographer.

Does anyone with a PS3 have any suggestions? I want to use these pics as wallpaper on my computer and show off to you guys.
