Hi guys,

Due to the limitation of the GT Tuning parts, I'm asking to see what is the best way to 'simulate' a 5-speed fully customizable gears. Let's say using a set of 5-gear from a spec sheet. How would you put it into the ratios?

Use the top gear slider to make it possible to get the ratios you want (top speed changes the adjustment range of the individual gears), it'll be trial and error.

If you're trying to replicate a road car revs vs speed (say 90km/h at 6000RPM in 2nd), you'll probably need to use a different Final Drive to real life (because GT5's rolling radius will probably be a bit out).

Hope this helps,
Simon

Lets say this is what I have and want to put it in?

1st 3.587
2nd 2.022
3rd 1.384
4th 1.000
5th 0.861
Final Gear 4.300

Do I just enter all those values? But what should the 6th gear be and does the final gear change?

Do you use a manual transmission? If so, just don't shift up into 6th gear. It wont matter what ratio you give 6th because you'll never shift up into it. If you use auto however, try making 6th as short as possible, so even if you shift up into 6th, it's still going to feel like a 5-speed.

yes, I use manual, so I can just enter the values as is, and just put the 6th gear to the lowest value?
