I am looking for a good wheel just to play GT5P, GT5, and possibly F1 2010. I am not interested in using this for PC use. I had a Logitech Momo FF Wheel back when I was racing in NR2003. I also used in GTR2. I like the feel of it. I have also had a Microsoft Xbox wheel. I like the feel of it also. I been looking at the Driving Force GT just for the price. What would you guy recommend?

If you dont want to spend a lot of money, then the DFGT is an excellent choice, although its also worth looking at the 911 carrerra (sp) wheel

Im from australia & I dont even think I can order a 911 carrerra here.. All i can find is RS3 & turbo S & 911 turbo..

Eh?! All Fanatec wheels can be used with clutch pedals indeed all of their pedals sets are 3 pedal sets.

never said they didn't have a clutch, besides i don't know much about the wheels so that's why i'm getting a g25 as it's had good reviews and i like the look of it.

IMO for the most realistic manual feel the G27 is the winner, but even so, I still think it feel really unreal, Im just too used to a real car, Been driving 5 year & only just got into steering wheels for ps3 only this year..

As for the best wheel itself, I's say fanatec, I only used 911 turbo but the third motor makes it so much better..

I liked the way the gas peddal was so easy to push in, i'd rather that over the G27 peddals for some reason.

Does anyone know if the clubsport peddals can be adjusted to feel like the origional 911 turbo peddals?

whilst we're asking questions...how much of a transition is it from a pad to a wheel, i'm guessing ages for me?

oh and another thing, if you're driving a 7 speed manual car, would sequential go into 7 gears as the wheel i'm getting is 6 speed?

I am going to get the DFGT for now but hopefully will go to the Fanatec or G27. Not sure yet but for a beginner on the PS3 I think the DFGT is good for me.

^Nope. From what I have heard both the G27 and GT3RS's shifters leave something to be desired. The thing is all the extra features for the GT3RS clubsport are only meaningful on the PC. The G27 is a much better value for money if you just want a wheel for the PS3. The DFGT is an even better value for money, but honestly I would go with the G27.

The Clubsport pedals are definitely compatible with the PS3 when used with a Fanatec wheel.

The best PS3 wheel period is the GT3RS V2 with clubsport pedals.

My DFGT/G25 Hybrid, the best of both worlds! But really, it's your call between the G27 and DFGT. If you don't plan on racing via your PC then get the DFGT, the pedals aren't that bad. Also price is a concern, you are paying an extra $200 or so for better pedals and less GT specific functions with the G27 and Fanatec. So my advice for the PS3 (and more specifically GT); DFGT :)

Sequential or paddles willtake you as high as the car limits you to go.

nice one, so it's sequential for the veyron (full gt5) and paddles for f1. Thanks:tup:

just got the wheel from ebay, a g25, second hand also. Good condition too.

I have tried them all and I would choose a Fanatec over any other wheel for a console. I owned a G25, currently own a Fanatec 911 S and just borrowed a G27 off of a friend to try on my cockpit. The G25 and G27 are excellent wheels but I prefer the FFB on the Fanatec wheels and the adjustability on the fly they offer. Add the clubsport pedals and the ability to save 5 configurations into memory on the wheel? You are in for one hell of a ride.

You push the gear lever up to get a higher gear and down to get a lower one(or it could be the opposite since I was only in one vehicle with the feature).

Here's a good example from a car.

thankyou:tup:...man i can't believe i'm asking this but when you brake do you use the clutch at the very same time? i'm struggling to brake properly on my new wheel? forgive my stupidity:)

Oh you mean when you use manual? There is no need to touch the clutch unless if you want to downshift to make use of engine braking(a good read under "Applications" part). I never do downshifting in real life but my dad does.

ok thanks mate, yeah i'll break then clutch to change gear down through corners.

i just set a time of 1'03.377 on london city with the ford focus st. Is that decent? as i'm a newbie i doubt it but hey-ho:)

also i didn't go down through the gears, i just went straight to the gear i was meant to e.g from 5th to 2nd in one shift.
