I have seen threads like this on other forums and thought I would bring it here.

Anyway, What's the best car you have ever driven and the worst car you have ever driven?

My best: My MR2. It may not be super powerful or fast, but it is fun. Also, going 40 feels like 80 in some cases. It corners well, and it has possibly the smoothest gearbox in history of ever.

My worst: A 2002 or so Ford Taurus. It's an unresponsive, understeering, boring car. The 4-Speed automatic sucks, and when changing from Park to Reverse and the like, it grinds like crazy. The interior of those cars is so ugly too.

What are your choices?

My worst: 1976 Dodge Aspen. Dull handling even compared to the '78 LeSabre I drove for a while, pitiful slant 6 engine (felt weaker than the 90 hp engine in my 89 Corolla did!), slooooow shifting automatic transmission, and all around unpleasant to drive.

My best: I won't say most enjoyable, but the best would be my mom's '08 Focus. Yeah, I know, but it's actually a pretty good car, and I can move the front seat back far enough where my knees aren't jammed up against the dashboard. When you're 6'3", that makes a big difference in your opinion of a car.

Worst car that I ever drove (so far), would have to be a 2007 Chevy 2500 diesel. It's fun when you pin it but the steering is horrible and its a nightmare to park.

Best car that I ever drove (excluding a kart), is a Honda CR-V. It actually has good handling and very nice steering. Plus the engine sounds really good when it's revved.

Worst: 90s something Mercury Mystique. For my reasons why see the OP's Ford Taurus.
Best: Oh man I can't really say, for the most fun I'd go for my fathers 512BB and for best handling I'd go for my old 2006 RS4.

Just wait until you drive a car.

lol, I don't think that any car will be able to out-do a kart or bike, but the Honda does indeed drive like a car.

Best: My brother's 1999 Honda Accord. Out of our family's vehicles, I'd say I had the most joy going around the corners in it and the power was sufficient enough compared to my Subaru's...lacking power. Fun to drive and even raced a Dodge Viper SRT-10 in it. >_>

Worst: The worst CAR that I've driven is nearly a tie between the 2010 Toyota Camry and 2003 Camry. The 2010 Camry was my driver's ed car and the 2003 Camry is my mom's car. Both lacked in feel... I really hate Toyota's power steering, a lot. My dad's Sienna feels even more like a sponge with the high center of gravity, soft suspension, and overly numb steering. On the other hand, my aunt's 2007 Honda CR-V was pretty poor. The handling just didn't feel great and the driving position of it was uncomfortable along with the ride. Taking sharp turns in it was terrible. Overall, I'll just say my family isn't exactly the kind that look for fun cars...

The best car I've ever driven so far is my dad's Peugeot 206. It's an old car but it's very good! The interior is of course, not 'very' nice but it's just good and I feel comfortable with it. The seating position is nice, steering feels smooth but responsive, the acceleration and braking are very smooth, great visibility and all in all, it's a very good car. However though, the car is small and the gearbox is very sluggish. Probably the worst gearbox that I have ever tried but doesn't matter though, it's still a very good car!

The worst car I've ever driven is the Perodua Kancil. It's a very small car and very underpowered. The seat is very, very, very uncomfortable. The steering is responsive but really twitchy. Parking this car is a PITA because it doesn't have a power steering! The stick gearbox is fine but nothing great but the clutch is bloody heavy! The worst thing of all is once you drive past 120kmh, the steering starts being really twitchy and the car is all over the place! To cover it all up, that's the worst car I've ever driven.

The best car I've driven is my friend's C63 AMG. It was only in a parking lot though. Still counts.

The worst would be my mom's old Ford Expedition. I learned to drive on it. It was a terrible car with absolutely no feel at all.

But even worse would be a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant. My friend got it as a rental car when his Jetta was in the shop after someone backed into it. He drove it to my house to let me drive it, just to demonstrate how god awful the car was. It made me sad that the same company that made the Lancer Evo could make this utter piece of crap.

Worst Car: 1.4 Hyundai Getz- Horribly light steering and a gearstick that doesn't feel attached to anything.

Worst: '04 SRX, it was lemon lawed (spelling?), enough said

Best.... Street car: '09 mustang (only a v6 though)

Worst: "Project Suzi", my old 1984 Suzuki Sierra (Samurai) LWB. Leaf suspension all round made for an "entertaining" ride to be kind to it, and the 1.0L carb'd 4-cylinder meant it had rather insignificant acceleration up to its top speed of about 80kph. Went well off road though, mixed it up with the big boys in their Patrols and LandCruisers no sweat.

Best: SIC EM, our old lightly modified Teardrop 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX, with TEIN coils, MRT Rally exhaust, 19" Konig wheels with Toyo Proxes4 rubber and ECUTek remap. Went like the absolute clappers, supreme grip, and great fun to throw around.

I've driven a few nice cars & each have their pros and cons.

But, the worst was a 4th gen. LT1 Camaro that belonged to my buddy. God, that car was slow as hell & looking over that long hood sucked with the available driving position in that car. Transmission in his car was not good either, so it jerked a lot when coming to a stop & the brakes were definitely on their way out.

LT1 Camaro? Slow as hell? Not quite unless there were many things very seriously wrong with it. The rest of it I have to agree on though.

My best/worsts don't exist, though if I need a daily, I know what I want. 2003-8 Mazda6 V6/5-speed because of how good the chassis is and how quick the V6s actually are. New cars all suck though, particularly Honda's current not-sporty cars... They don't do comfort right and they don't do anything else right either.

Um, yes. LT1 Camaros are weak cars (they can barely run low 14s with a good driver) & aren't even worth dumping money into to modify. A proper 4th Gen. Camaro has a LS motor in it.

Best.. My Focus probably.. Loads of fun through the turns which we have plenty of here.

Worst.. Probably a 96' Camaro with a V6.. God was that thing a POS.

Okay, but low 14s still isn't all that slow. Slow for a "performance car", sure, but not "slow as hell". I didn't say it wasn't slow, I said it wasn't quite deserving as being called "slow as hell".

Maybe it's because I live in a city of the fastest street cars in the US, but 14 second cars are slow as hell to me. A quick car is something under 13 seconds easily. What we like to call fast is something under 11 in qtr & breaks traction at 60mph pulls.

Again that's just my view after being introduced to some cars that will absolutely leave 99% of everyone else, including myself, by bus lengths.

Best car i've ever driven, hmmm comes down to a choice between an Audi RS6 avant (2009 model) or a Porsche Carrera, 993 model. Porsche deafinatly felt scarier and more alive but the RS6 had enough power to beat it hands down without even breaking into a sweat!
Worst? Probably a MKII Vauxhall Astra SRI. I had the misfortune to own one for a few months and it handled like jelly on a wobble board. Quick but crap.

Worst car: 1984 beige Toyota corolla sedan, paid $400 for it then covered it in $200 worth of stickers, spray painted stencils on it. It was gutless, it shook going down the highway but as bad as it was I absolutely loved it. Solid engine too, I drove it for a year and a half only putting fuel in it, didn't even open the bonnet only for it to blow the clutch on the way to work. I took the head unit out and left it on the side of the road, only to go past the next day to see it up on bricks lol,

Best car: My 2005 Holden commodore SS, born and raised a Holden boy and it took me 10 years to finally buy myself an SS and I love it

Best: Objectively, an Audi TT-S. Pretty quick, looks great, fantastic interior, handled fairly well. Subjectively, my old MX-5, still not driven another car I've enjoyed as much as that car.

Worst: Objectively, the non-turbo diesel Citroen ZX I did a banger rally in. Very slow, falling to bits, but it was still great fun as it handled fairly well and it was for a road trip, which are awesome whatever you're driving. Subjectively, my ex-girlfriend's dad's Toyota Prado V6. Nothing wrong with the car, but the auto transmission was on its way out and really struggled to change gear up or down. Not nice to drive at all.

I had one of those for a day once. It was... abysmal. My favourite part was that the steering column linkage would hit your foot if you tried to turn the wheel with the clutch pedal depressed. Well, that and that it was horrific and bright yellow, as if drawing attention to the horror of it.

Alarmingly it's not the worst car I've ever driven either. Nor is the Vauxhall Corsa (Corsa C) 1.0. My ex-girlfriend's Renault Clio (Mk2 Phase 2) 1.6 was an absolute shocker (and I have a thread reviewing it on here) but not the worst. Even the Mk5 Escort wasn't the worst and that was so bad I need swear words to account for it.

The worst was the Nissan Micra (K11) 1.0. It's a car utterly without any merit of any kind, being ugly, slow, badly built and dreadful in every aspect, but if I had to limit myself to a single overwhelming fault it would be every part of the function of steering. The steering wheel itself is mounted at an angle you'd expect to see in trucks. Turning it is quite some effort, yet it appears to do sod all - it contrives to be unimaginably heavy and yet not directly connected to the front wheels. The central 25% of the arc does literally nothing at all. When you do manage to turn the wheels, very little happens to the direction of travel - Nissan seem to have designed the front suspension so that turning the wheels just results in the wheels pointing a different way. It needs a phenomenal amount of steering input to change direction measurably, with roundabouts at 20mph requiring 170 degrees of steering in total. I'll note that I only actually drove this car because some of us went out somewhere in it intending to get a taxi home due to alcohol and I ended up not having had any alcohol so said I'd drive them home in their car. I'm not sure how much alcohol I'd have to drink to be willing to drive one again, but I suspect I'd not be conscious.

Oddly, the best is also a Nissan. A GT-R. Nuff said.

Well I've nothing to compare it to, because I had my first driving lesson in one on Wednesday. :scared:

It wasn't too bad, just the steering was unnervingly light, although that may be because I'm used to wrestling the DFGT.

Best, I dunno.. Worst, possibly this, springs cut two rounds, 320k km on the car with 60 hp in 1982, bent frame rail, etc. Oddly enjoyable though :D
