better drifting

my favorite passtime in gt is drifting but the rear snaps and even without abs or countersteering it just doesnt feel as good as let's say carx or ac, so really would be cool if they changed the drifitng mechanics

You don’t have TCS on do you? What tires are you using?

Not sure. I just know drifting in GT7 is very difficult with ANY type of assist on (for me anyways) and almost all cars I use CS tires for drifting unless it’s very low power car then I use CH. Not sure if recent update has changed that though, haven’t drifted in 1.20.
I only use controller and have heard from others who tried on wheel it’s very hard and much easier on controller. I have my paddle strength turned all the way up so it’s easier to manipulate throttle. It’s easier to maintain drift that way.

Best set up to drift in gt7? I am improving gradually but i would like to work with different set up? Any advice?

Using T500RS on PS4 Pro，My Basic Drift Tuning，

1. Modified CH tires.
2. Modify the "Steering Angle Adapter" to increase the front wheel steering angle.
3. Vehicle height : the lowest height without interfering with the steering of the front wheels.
4. Anti-roll bar : "front 4/rear 4" or "front 4/rear 7" or "front 10/rear 10".
(The lower the value, the more stable the vehicle)
5. Inclination : front 1.5 / rear 0.
6. Toe angle : front preset / rear 0.
7. LDS : "20/60/20" or "60/60/20".
8. Downforce: Front MIN / Rear MIN
9. Gearbox: manual customization (stock) (use the clutch, the drift will be more flexible)
