The rules are as follows:

  • Entries will accepted until 11:59pm (GMT) Wednesday 14th August
  • Each competition's voting will last for one week. The winner of that round will choose the next theme.
  • All entries must have been taken within the last 6 months and preferably after the announcement of the theme.
  • Entries must be posted as a thumbnail no larger than 700px on the longest edge. Full sized images may be as larger as you'd like.*
  • You must submit only your own photographs, do not post anyone else's work.
  • Only one photograph per person, marked with Final Entry. You can change your entry, but must remove your current entry first and clearly state that you have posted a new entry.
  • You must not vote for your own photograph when the Poll is up. Only vote for a photograph taken by another entrant.
  • The photograph must be submitted with the following information: Subject, Date and Camera used and, if you'd like, the major camera settings - shutter speed, ISO, etc.

*While full sized images may be as larger as you'd like, you should try to limit them to approximately 1200px to enable viewing the entire image without scrolling. It's much easier to see the full effect of the shot when you can view it all at once and not have to pan.

Current theme, chosen by Week #28 winner Solo

Photos that show motion and/or action. This could be a sporting event or a busy street scene, as long as it portrays a feeling of motion.

Cool beans. Friday I'll be picking up a set of 3 or 4 strobes and a pack to go with them so maybe I can use them to try and stop motion as opposed to going the blurred route.

I suspect this is mostly going to be car entries... I really don't have the time to put anything new or creative together... so IF I get the chance to plug my external drive in, I'll probably just enter a car pic too!

May well change this.

I got so much I could use, but nothing this year!!!! Haven't been to a race, and with the budget crap by the Washington incompetence, there basically are NO air shows in the U.S. since the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds are both grounded. So..... What to make, what to make?

Think I'm going to have to go down the predictable car route. But hey, it's the first time in a while I've remembered to enter something for this, so...

AF Corse is a relatively young, Italian, privateer racing team with close ties to Maserati and Ferrari. This team has already amassed quite an impressive list of wins and championships in many racing series around the world. This is a shot of the Ferrari 458 GT2, #51, driven by Giancarlo Fisichella, Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander that won its LMGTE Pro class in the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans. AF Corse also won their class in the FIA World Endurance Championship that year.

After seeing Mr. S's entry above, I couldn't resist plugging in my GT5 photomode edit, sorry!
Great REAL photos everyone.

Just to be different, something not a car. :)
Was shooting visitors to my bird feeder, and just missed this guy as he took his snack up to a nearby tree.

Great shot ! 👍

What the hell. Might as well.

Can't beat MatskiMonk's brakevan shot though, that's stonkingly good.

He says.. then posts up an expertly captured photo of the very attractive Rebellion LMP1, at speed, at La Sarthe! 👍

I tried to do something a little different for this theme. There's a bunch of things I would change the second time around. Despite that and MastiMonk's photo, I figured may as well.

Going to squeak this in right before the deadline. Special thanks to Casey on this.
