The rules are as follows:

  • Entries will accepted until 11:59pm (GMT) Wednesday 12th March
  • Each competition's voting will last for one week. The winner of that round will choose the next theme.
  • All entries must have been taken within the last 6 months and preferably after the announcement of the theme.
  • Entries must be posted as a thumbnail no larger than 700px on the longest edge. Full sized images may be as larger as you'd like.*
  • You must submit only your own photographs, do not post anyone else's work.
  • Only one photograph per person, marked with Final Entry. You can change your entry, but must remove your current entry first and clearly state that you have posted a new entry.
  • You must not vote for your own photograph when the Poll is up. Only vote for a photograph taken by another entrant.
  • The photograph must be submitted with the following information: Subject, Date and Camera used and, if you'd like, the major camera settings - shutter speed, ISO, etc.

*While full sized images may be as larger as you'd like, you should try to limit them to approximately 1200px to enable viewing the entire image without scrolling. It's much easier to see the full effect of the shot when you can view it all at once and not have to pan.

Current theme as chosen by week 42 winner, Cale:

As this had so few entries I shall leave it open for a week longer and also this gives time for the tie-breaker poll from last week.

I appreciate this, seeing how it is the end of the quarter here and my life is a mess of projects. Like "oh, btw, make a 15 minute short film with a small cast and script, someone has to be from outside the class in the movie, multiple locations required, and you've got two weeks to white, film and edit it" etc.

Yeah this one had me stumped - the only photos I took over the last week were of some wet leaves (because if finally rained in Socal), the moon, and a flower but nothing fitting the theme. This weekend going to the local dirt track then to watch some Solo RallyX. Not sure if I will get anything there, but who knows.

@Cale not a bad theme at all, just sometimes we have nothing I guess. I was trying for a specific shot myself, but it's like a 1 in 1000 chance of getting it... I will do something this weekend, even if it's just filler :D

You're a birder, it okay :P

As for my submission, I'll also be playing the reflection card. However, I may change my mind here, and also wondering how much symmetry we need to have, as I'm considering this shot.
