My god. I knew this country was on a slippery slope but I didn't realise it was this steep. Not only is Big Brother beyond terrible but if anyone is that obsessed with the show they need serious help!

I wish they'd take most of these 'reality' shows off the TV, all it's doing is prompting young children to want to become a celebrity instead of following an actual career where you need talent and aren't a thick, clueless slob.

I'm not sure about people's daughters, but I'm definitely in favour of shooting whoever commissioned it.

In the eyes. Because that's what watching the show feels like.

I doubt this is a serious threat, non the less its worrying stuff.

I don't understand why people get so emotional about watching other people live, on the off chance I flicked over to E4 and caught a glimpse of the 'action', it seemed like everyone was lying in the garden tanning themselves.

That and it seemed they were next to a busy flightpath as the drone of 747's seem constant, perhaps that's too override any potential swearing?

Either way it looked boring and you would probably have to spend all day watching to see anything interesting. What people enjoy isn't really up to me, but I am equally concerned about big brother live fans as grass growing fans. They probably stack up pretty similarly in excitement levels.

I reckon we had a worse case of OBSESSED!! Had because he didn't want to be in Australia anymore....now look what's happened to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, I re-introduce you all to Demir Dokic, father of tennis star & former world #4 Jelena. His antics on the WTA were well renowned for throwing hissy-fits over prices at the US Open and being obsessive over his daughters success. He's just been introduced to a Serbian jail cell for the next year for threatening our ambassador and getting caught with weapons. ;)

Funily enough when I wrote my post I had BB on in the background - I'd just flicked on my TV and couldn't be bothered to get up and walk the 2ft required to reach the remote.

And if what I was watching were the 'edited highlights', god knows how dull the 'live stream' must be. For the 3 minutes or so I was watching it, the best thing they seemed to be able to find was some butch-looking woman complaining about people putting their hands in the cereal boxes (much to everyone in the house's amusement). This was then followed by a chap explaining how 3 meals can be got from a can of beans if you try hard enough, interjected with "d'ya know wat I mean"s every 3rd word or so.

Gripping. I think Big Brother are missing an opportunity actually - think of all the walls in that house that have been freshly painted. I'm sure they could sell us a show where we all watch them dry.

I once watched 10 whole seconds from the first series of Big Brother. That told me everything I needed to know. I haven't watched it since. Nor have I watched any other Reality TV programme. I've got something better to do with my time. It's called reality.

Reality can suck too you know.

The problem I have with reality shows, is I just end up hating everyone on it. This often has a lot to do with the fact that everyone knows they are on TV and 'acts' for the camera which makes the 'reality' part of the title a bit of an oxymoron.

Likewise they are normally set in less than real scenarios, T4 battle of the islands anyone? again set far from reality.

That said, at least keeping true to the reality tag, reality shows do show us a very real part of humans that normally isn't as visible in real life, and that's human desire to win and do anything to get what they want (usually prize money). So for me the 'reality' of a reality TV show, is showing us that in every group of people there is at least one person who will do anything to get what they want. That's about as real as they get. For me though, that's something I would rather not see, as its not always a traight I like to see in someone.

 Did you ever see Dead Set? That should happen.

Anyone who watches the big brother live feed between 2 and 8 in the morning should have the space that their brain once sat, filled with polyfiller. Actually, anyone who watches big brother should have their head filled with polyfiller.

To quote Rimmer.

"I'd rather smear my love spuds in fish paste and dangle them into a pool of Piranha."
