Why did Jamie Sommers have to move her hair from around her ear so she could hear properly????? Is Buffy 'the Vampire Slayer' Sommers her daughter? And if she is, why doesn't she move her hair?

For gods sake, she's supposed to have bionic hearing, surely it can hear through her hair!!!!

Maybe it was an on/off amplifier. Move the hair, hear more, whatever?
 
none of the choices please me. her bio ears will know of my displeasure soon and she'll kick your a**
