Blu Ray / DVD died

My Blu Ray / DVD Drive is kaput. GT5 finally killed it off. So I have a few questions... hope you can help

Is it possible to use the USB ports to link up a stand alone blu ray drive to the ps3?

Failing that do you reckon they will ever release gt5 as downloadable content so I can play it again?

If no - I'm off to buy a new slim ps3 320gb - or is a 500gb model around the corner?

Try to search for a shop or a person that can fix the drive. Thats what I did and it too k less than 20 minutes. I don't know the UK equivalent to craigs list but that what I used.

If you are rich like that just by a slim Ps3.
