This is basically some notes I took on each of the cars I have in the GR.3 category. See if It helps you with the race tomorrow.
I did approximately 10 laps a car, sometimes less. This most of the times are optimals, what I could get out of them. I only did my times to the tenth of a second because I know the cars can each do better. Inconsistent means I had trouble getting good times with the car consistently.
I was prompted to do this because the VW Vision GT is great for qualifying but it's low top speed sucks in a race for me. (would be good if you break away from the pack though) So I wanted an alternative that will fight better in the pack. I will be posting a better time with the VW tomorrow for qualifying.
How I have it set up:
Lap time / Car / Speed (mph) before braking at turn 1 + Guessed top speed
43.4 opt Vantage 188+5
-good off power T3, struggles T1. Inconsistent
43.5 opt WRX 187, 193 achived in race
Struggles all around, fun driving challenge though, good for practice. Mildly inconsistent
43.5 opt 650s 188+?
-Good on power, bad off power, Inconsistent
43.5 best GTR 188+4
-nice accel, good off power, bad on. Inconsistent
43.1 best VW 186, 189 top speed
-great accel & cornering, bad top speed
43.3 opt FT-1 188+7 (43.6 easily)
-neutral, likes to apex T3, can lose speed easily
43.4 opt AMG16' 188+? (43.7 easily)
-neutral, good power, likes to apex T3, not ideal grip
43.4 opt 4C 187+7
-best neutral, good accel, darty, can lose speed easily
43.5 opt F-type 189+6
-great speed & accel, bad understeer, quite Inconsistent
Peugeot....nope, nope. don't like it
-bad understeer, worst top speed,
43.6 opt Evo 187+6
-nice to drive, power out not ideal, oddly slow
43.4 opt stang 188+5 (I don't like Fords)
-nice to drive, good speed, handles okay
43.2 opt AMG13' 188+7 (43.6 easily)
-carries lots of speed esp. T1, good accel
My choice for the Race tomorrow? that AMG13' is wicked fast, but I am fond of the FT-1, I'll give it a try first, I think it'll be good in a slipstream.
Can't wait to get the Corvette and RS01
