Will we be seeing Blue Tooth compatability with Final Version or Prolouge ?
I really think it is required, right now I am eating up cell minutes to race with my friends......

I know very little of Bluetooth (and by the way, it's either "blue tooth" or "bluetooth," not "Blue tOoth"). For your sake, I probably hope so. Not sure how Bluetooth would work with GT5 as well as implementing it. You all may need to educate an old school guy like me on what Bluetooth would be like for GT5.

I think he's referring to the headset compatability. Basically, he's asking for online voicechat.

Arranged in the sense that this feature could actually be implemented. Not sure of the logistics, but... okay. How exactly can a USB headset be utilized in GT5 if indeed we get this feature?

A bluetooth headset can already be used, many other PS3 games already use them. USB would add some lag actually.
Voicechat wouldn't be particularly useful during a race, but would be useful in lobbies when we get private rooms.

Voicechat is only useful in the lobbies of private rooms, now? I mean, sure, the prevalance of dirty drivers online is an indicator that many of the people you'd talk to would be rather immature, but surely the ability to immediately apologize for mistakes, tell someone to pass on one side or the other, communicate and strategize with "teammates" or friends, or even just have a conversation while racing make mid-race voicechat useful, no?

Id find it too distracting personally. Its not like a squad based shooter or something like that.
I wouldn't mind having a team principal type person who is just observing, but having numerous drivers cursing very loudly every time they spin would be extremely distracting. This would happen with friends or joe public, it certainly happens on other games in public and private games.

The negatives outweigh the positives here, I'm afraid. Why can't you apologise in the lobby after the race?

i believe dat a headset is really useful. i usually drift with goracle,kord21m,dking, and others at the same time and we want to do a certain turn in a way in a group and we have to be typing on the computer with xat.com to chat with others and dats bad for us, in my opinion.

Apologizing in the lobby after the race is fine, but being able to apologize immediately is nice, and isn't as easy to forget to do.

Really it just comes down to the fact that I personally enjoy having conversations with others during a race, as I just happen to be a type of driver where that isn't distracting. I used to spend hours on my friend's Xbox playing PGR2 on Live, doing Nürburgring runs and chatting about cars with other enthusiasts. It was great.

If mid-race voice chat is too distracting for you, that's fair, but even if the game didn't include a mute option or a way of disabling the headset when you leave the menu/lobby, you could still take off the headset each time you enter a race. ;)

That. "dat" just makes you sound stupid, and is also against the rules of the site.

No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums.

Seriously, I don't see why voice chat would not be implemented. I use a headset for a few of my PS3 games, and I must say' It makes me laugh to hear little kids trying to curse up a storm in their immature attempts to seem "cool". but the greatest feature of the Bluetooth headset is the OFF button.
anyway my point is, any online multiplayer game should include voice chat.

Agree with Ardius - it's not a squad based shooter so there's really no need. If you bump me, trust me on this, I know it was an accident and I know you're sorry. Exchanging "sorry" and "fuggedaboutit" is not what I need to be concentrating on.

Tip off's about scumbags might be good on pub servers but I doubt I'd bother to tell you the truth.

I just like to chat to my friends when I am racing with them...
It seems to me that without it, it will just be racing with people you dont know...not the same.
When I pass my buddy I want to hear him curse, we let each other know who is a bumper..ect

I would like it more in the sense of when you are at a friends split screen racing there is a lot of banter back and forth, it adds to the game.
You should be able to select who you chat with...I dont want to have 16 people all on the same channel
I would like to have the capability of selective chat.
