BMW 5: M Sport Package

Starting September 2004 customers can order the 5-series M package. For 4.650 Euro (3.450 for 545i and 3.800 for 535d) it features Sports suspension with recalibrated dampers and stiffer springs lowering the car by 20mm, with touring there is optional sport chassis tuning, new front bumper with a wider air intake, a new rear bumper, 18' wheels, 245 tyres, body kit, M cloth / leather combination seats, m-footrest, m-steering wheel... 👍

I don't like new BMWs, but still, it looks better than the regular version. I used to think that I'll get used to it (bangle designs), but... I just can't.

The front airdam is directly off the new M5. So are the side skirts. The rear apron is probably the same part minus the inserts for the tail pipes.

It is very common in Europe for M aero parts to be marketed on non-Ms as part of a "M Sport Package" shortly after an M car is introduced.

Here in the States, we usually have to wait until the last model year.

I however........I love the new E60 5 Series however this sport one looks a bit....

I dunno.....I dont like the intercooler-like thing in the front, dont get me wrong I love the front spoiler however it somehow looks a bit ricy with a silverish intercooler in front.

The rear is sexy as though 👍

M-Spec you are incorrect, look closely here and the M5's and 5 Sport's front aprons are NOT the same

On the topic, I think these M packages steal a bit of exclusivity from actual M's, but I guess that it's great to be able to upgrade your BMW.

there were already m-packages on the older 5's, my unc had a '00 wit m-package(18 in wheels, m steering wheel, stiffer suspension, m floor mats....)
