Even though I'm a BMW "fanboy" I like realism and I always had a feeling the BMW M5 in the game is to fast. I know all about the car, how it's an amazing machine, just like the other german sedans from Audi and Mercedes but It's too fast in my opinion, too much grip, feels too light. First it has over 500 pp which is quite a bit more than the M3 E92 which is like around 480pp (Can't remember exactly from top of the head) and in the top gear test track, without even trying very hard, I can pull a 1:22... While the real one did 1:26.2.

The M3 in most tracks should actually be faster.
The weight of this car should be felt more, even tough the M division made an awesome job, its still almost a 2,000kg car.
Has anyone else noticed this?

It's a game and the stock tyres have too much grip.
I suspect that if you tested them with CS or CM tyres the result would be more realistic.
On a fast track like La Sarthe or Monza I don't think an M3 could live with an M5. It has almost 100 horsepower deficit and though the M5 is a bit on the heavy side, the M3 is no lightweight either.

But It's just a game and the cars are not always correctly modelled.
All cars also comes equipped with overly grippy tyres, something that benefits the M5 more than the M3.

Hopefully with the new physics in GT6 it will change. The M5 sure wins the M3 in some of the longer tracks with more straight tracks and flatter longer turns, but majority goes to the M3, including nurburgring.
