Designed to pay homage to the 328 Touring Coupe that won the Mille Miglia road race in 1940, the Mille Miglia Coupe Concept uses modified versions of the suspension and powertrain from the Z4 M Coupe. The inlet and exhaust ports are tuned to produce 343 bhp and a distinctive straight six racing sound. It also has a hinged roof section, which eliminates the need for conventional doors, thus saving weight and increasing body rigidity. Incidentally, its body is made from CRP (Carbon Reinforced Plastic) to keep its weight as low as possible.
We do not currently have any significant BMW concept cars on GranTurismo, and this strikingly designed retro racer would be a most welcomed addition...
