The BMW Race Series is the biggest single make racing series in New Zealand. There is about 100-150 competitors in the series and they are divided into three classes

E30 - Strictly E30s, 318i or 320i are the models run and they are the beginner class. A lot of similar pace to one another
Open - The open class, you can do whatever you want ranging from an old 2002 Turbo to a E92 M3, there is a lot of diversity
2ltr Challenge - An extension of the Open Class, these cars would originally be Group C in the Open Class but it has really turned into it's own. The most common car is an E36 320i as these are the quickest in the class
