Got that good time music with the Bo Diddley Beat...

Truly one of the pioneers of rock'n'roll - I always loved the big square guitars he played. RIP, Mr. Diddley. We owe you.

Yeah, I heard this the other day...he was doing TV spots for local used-car dealers in the North-Central Florida area when I lived there back in the turn-of-the-millennium (I think he lived in Bronson, FL). Even though it was some cheese-ball lot, it was always neat seeing Bo alive and well on TV.

Bo knows guitar.

He seemed like such an odd man, for someone whose best performance was considered on his song, "I'm a Man". (Ultimate Guitar Magazine, 2006) His choice of stage name would be interesting today...

He was a great guitarist nonetheless, and the world will miss him.

The man was simply awesome. Very sad to hear of his passing. I'll never forget his hilarious scenes in the movie Trading Places.

"Burnt my fingers, man."

"That watch is so hot, it's smoking!"

Or, the facial expression when Dan Aykroyd's character asks him, "How much for the gun?"
