Bob's condition?

First I am sorry for asking this because I thought I had previously read something about this.

My question is when you are in the driver menu it shows arrows that are in green, orange and blue. Green pointing to the right, orange ponted down and blue pointed up. What does this mean and how does it affect the driver.

I just ran a race at Indy in the Dream Car race in B-Spec Extreme. My driver showed a green square with the arrow pointed right. I went to use the same driver again and now his square is orange and pointed down.

I havent run B-Spec in a while but I want the GT Citroen.

I hope someone has made sense of this and has a good response. If this has been explained before please post the link to the answer.
