Some of my bobs other bars are turning kinda silvery striped. Why is this?
Is that what they do when they start to fall off

So I'm looking for more info on this.

My main bob has quite the silver section and it's getting bigger. I don't race him when he's in a down mood, but I do race him on occasion.

What impact does the silver section have on his performance, and what can be done about it?

I have 4 40 LVL bobs, and another 39 and 38. Three of my 40s have some amount of silver.

I have 1 level 40 Bob (offline) and 5 x level 0 Bob's (shared). Why do you need that many 40 Bobs? I just delete (retire) mine when I claim any prizes. Occasionally I level up a replacement for Bobby 40, then he cops a bullet.

I also have never noticed the silver but will be checking. Thanks for pointing it out. :)

Need is a strong word. :)

My kids have gotten used to their names, and even help select their helmets, etc. I suppose I could tell them that a couple of my drivers went on "vacation."

Maybe the silver bars sort of force you to retire them by aging them prematurely. Just guessing.

The silver bars will continue to grow such that they cut in to your bobs stats, and the more he races, the less strength he'll start with, or his cornering will not be as good as it used to, etc. The larger the silver bars get, the smaller your stats get, and so on and so forth...
