Anybody would mind lending me their car so I can do this event? I'm low on money and I'd be very happy to save that 600K+. I can return the car or give it to another! Please pretty please!

The "more realistic answer" can be found by changing to chase-cam and watching the weight transfer as you brake hard in a corner. True to its name, it sloshes around like a toddler in a bathtub.
The brakes do exactly what they are intended to do - stop the wheels. The fact that the wheels are not in contact with the ground does cause some minor handling issues, but certainly adds to the hilarity of the replays.
Not in terms of money but you will gain some XP and save yourself some grinding I guess.
