Would anyone like to loan me their TVR? I bought one and did the race mod and now the game won't let me use it in the race.

No problem, if you can wait until monday evening, CE time (I am for the moment at 150 miles from my PS3). Send me a friend-request (my ID is turbogeit) and I'll send you the TVR.

It's possible to win this race with an oil change and sport soft tires. I did it on my second try, mainly because I had to learn the track. Using a six-axis controller, my fastest lap was 1:24.8 and most, except the fist, were around 1:25. I passed the R8 coming into the final hairpin.

Was already planning to buy this just for the Reflex Spice color chip, now I have an excuse. Might fully mod it for this race, as I'm planning on using it more than once.

I love TVRs, but I had yet to take the plunge and buy a Tuscan, so the bonus race was a nice opportunity. I got the oil change, aero, full suspension/LSD/tranny, a couple minor power parts and some sport softs.

I also used a tuning setup I found on the board that was actually from an RX-7 Spirit R. They're both lightweight FRs, so I figured the same basic principles would apply. I was right, and for the most part, the Tuscan drove very well. I'll definitely be keeping it around for 2P Battle use.

Doesn't surprise me: RX-7 and all TVR's are cars I adore to drive, because their similar behaviour. Seems logic the same settings work on both.

I like this car. Responds well to all inputs. Doesn't snap oversteer like so many other cars. Turns in nicely. I believe 1st is doable with oil change and nothing else. Biggest problem is AI getting in the way all the time.

No kidding! The AI is driving me nuts on this event
I guess I'll learn the pattern eventually, but seriously, braking in the middle of a turn?!! They turn in fine, let off the brakes, then SLAM on the brakes mid corner!! It's so hard to predict this kind of driving style. I'm used to racing real people online in similar cars so I don't usually have to put up with this.

I'm still determined to win this one with a stock car (+ oil change), but I feel like I'm learning the pattern of the AI more than I'm learning the subtleties of this car/track combo :boggled:
So far my best is 2nd place, 1.7s back from 1st place.

Doh I'm mixing this up with anothet event! Bought my Tuscan and tried it- ruddy hard, can only get 4th so far with minor tunes. Its a bit of a handful!

Sports Soft Total Time 7:11.134 Best Lap 1:25.xxx (Lap 1) Laps 2-5 1:26.xxx range. Fun race

This was a good challenge. Sports soft, air filter, ecu and de cat.

First attempt I binned it and rolled the car on the second corner (the sweeping right hander)

Second time stuck with it, but realised that I couldn't accelerate through most of the corners, had to back off on a few long corners. (would have been better IF I had an LSD and adjustable suspension on it).

Passed the R8 on the outside of the final corner and almost ended up in the pits!

OK, I have a question!
In the dealership you have these 2 cars:
TVR Tamora '02
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00
For this Event you can use also this car:
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM '00
From where I can buy this car if not from the Dealership?
Or is it just a modification?

Another one that I won stock I'm not trying to show off by the way . I had to buy another tuscan though as the one I won originally I race modified and couldn't use it. Nice car though so I don't mind having two of them.

Firstly we think its a nice looking car, especially with the colour shift paint!

One of the best premiums imo. They have got the colour shifting paint spot on in this game don't you think?

I don't know why it's listed I didn't design the event . I know as I tried to use mine and it wouldn't let me so had to buy another one.
OK 10x a bunch for the replay!
Haha, if you designed this event I would be like ... WOOOWWW, what?! :dunce::dopey:💡 Haha.
10x a bunch for the info! 👍

This has been updated anbd now you can use the RM version of the Speed 6, I didn't belive it so I just tried it and it worked! I had already won the event before so I retried with the RM today and was in 1st by the end of the 2nd lap.

I got silver in this, just tried again with an LSD fitted and got 4th. Need to learn about setting it up.
Man, just put some 36k soft racing tires and you will crash the opposition. :)
BTW made it with the normal car. Nice car btw! I'm impressed.

I call these tires "arcade tires": it gives you a cornering speed impossible in the real world with such car. I use them only for seasonal events, when I want to "Take the money and run" (sorry, I'm a Woody Allen-fan)

Yes softs are a little bit overpowered but if you are close to the deadline ... well you need that money to cover your expenses. :dunce:

I personally am avoiding for example engine or chassis changes on most of my cars because they are irreversible. I like to put on the cars things that I can easily remove if I wish to try something like more of a challenge. So I see your point turbogeit, don't you worry. :)

Thing is Ive realised that if you just throw money at the car and win you dont learn about how set up works. When I started the game that was enough for me but now I want to learn all about it. I find it fascinating, love tinkering!

Exactly what I do, I throw turbos on there for online racing sometimes because they are removeable that's about it.

I traded for an Opel Astra and it turned out to have Stage 3 engine tuning, I haven't even bothered to drive it yet, worthless to me :(

You naturally "grew" into a "it's all about the journey" attitude. Which IMO makes the whole experience much richer 👍 The faster/easier way only means the fun ends sooner.

No Aids + Diff and RM suspension are the best mods you can have for that. As opposed to "god mode" and/or racing soft and/or turbo stage3.
