My 7 year old son won this race spending a bit of money on tuning but still enough to be in credit when winning. Maybe they can't please everyone but GT5 isn't just played by serious drivers, its played by people of all ages. Maybe they should introduce different levels of Seasonals depending on what A Spec level you are on? That would keep the hardcore and the young uns happy?

can i borrow this off someone,

I can give you a few mattes for your troubles

pm me

Just run the American Championship at Indy. 8 minutes and you have all the money to buy the car. It is easy enough to win the money you need to buy and mod cars. I am just enjoying the different races (since I feel there should have been at least three times the races availible in this game). The race with the Volvo C30 was the surprise for me. Was kind of 'WTF--I don't want to race a Volvo' but PD showed me that that car is great fun to drive. Seriously---if I coudl earn the cash as easily in real life I would get one and mod it to look like it was a rally car. What a fun car.

If you can't win with this car you can't drive. If you have troubles at all, put some better tires on it, and then you'll win. No reason to upgrade it at all unless you want to use it for other races, or online.

Funny, I must be unable to drive then!

Ok, just did it. Was pretty easy, got it on my first try (on sport hards) though mine does have a little more hp from mileage and oil changes. The car is great fun on Rome Circuit. The 8C is quite grippy even on hards and is easy to get a little controllable slide on sharper corners and high speed corners. Also squirms a little under braking. Car feels alive, like it is playing with me just as much as I'm playing with it. In Rome, the car simply feels like it was just made for every corner. Love it. 👍

Glad it's not just me. 👍 I really like the 8C too. Nice balance. It's more or less the same car as the Maserati but somehow to me it just works real well, particularly @ Rome, a track that I usually don't enjoy at all.

Not really run the 8C out much as yet, need a good test track for it. Eiger Nordward? Either way I'm keeping it as Im collecting Alphas.

I love the Eiger Nordward (sp) but good grief dont pit! It has the longest pit lane as I found out by mistake!

lol

In my first race in GT5 was in Eiger...
I was with the SLS AMG, and just saw another entrance, and said - uuu, there isn't this in GT5P-, and i just went to the pit ! :grumpy:

After 2min, lets start with GT5 !

Lol, the same thing happened to me....I thought I was starting to go along the whole K trail, lol.

I got 1st place on the 1st try with no mods. Well I did put aero on it but that was only because I liked the look of the car with the kit. Does anyone else think the seasonal's are getting easier? I don't mean because of the restrictions but you can easily win most of them with a stock car.

Ok so this is weird! After a few tweals I managed silver, with much wall bashing- the car doesnt seem to like deviating from a straight line! So i put a LSD on it 10.50.20,, took in the Expert >Tuning Car race and went from 5th to 12th! First understeer, then oversteer, then a love of grass- its bloody awful!

8C i take it all back! I just changed the middle setting in the LSD and got gold easy! In other words operator error!

Worked out great for me . I won the 8C for my level 12 bspec. then ran it bone stock and took first. It is a very touchy car but it is very fun. you are rewarded with smooth brake and throttle control. Even got down to a mid 119 second lap time.

Yup my best lap with no upgrades was on my last lap. Something like 1:19.3 I think.. It's in that vid above but the vid came out too dark for some reason.. It's a fun car to drive with no driving aids.

Great challenge. With sports hards you really need to nail those lines. I found especially the left hand turn after the big 180 degree is one of the places on the track where I could gain time.
I added fully customisable suspension to improve grip.

Finally got around to doing this today.

1st time, I only got up to second and ended up 4 seconds behind the leader.

2nd time, won it by about 5 seconds. I lost a ton of time because I kept catching the AI at the worst spots possible.

Too much oversteer with the stock tires, upgraded them one level for an easy win on my second attempt, got held up by IS-F badly. E Bonner was driving the Espirt LOL.

Amazing car if Active Steering and Traction are turned OFF! Took the lead in 2rd round. -10 Toe-Out front, +20 Toe-in rear, and -2Camber front and -1 rear its a beast in the coners!

I just couldn't modulate the throttle delicately enough in some corners to prevent oversteer and time loss (using a DS3). I was still a few seconds back, but within sight of the leader at the checker. So an oil change and sport medium tires helped me out on my 3rd try...won by 3 seconds or so.

At first I hated the handling of the car, but the more I use it the more I like it. Just an adjustment I guess.

Same here. I thought this car was a pig when I drove it stock the first time with default set-up. I was banging walls and oversteering. But, with a little softer tires and some set-up adjustments, it was starting to grow on me.

Passed first stime with totally stock car. cant see where the issue with the handling is, thought it drifter lovely and was totally predictable.... Then again, i cant get on with the Corvette RM, i call that car the 'Tank Slapper' cant keep it on the track!!!

Its odd but whenever I get a twitchy car I get it sorted and it runs fine. But then when I put it in a seasonal it reverts to being an idiot and I have to wrestle with it to kerp it straight!
