1st time stock ferrari got me only 5th place
than I did an oil change, bought Sports Soft and got 1st place
but I used this precious cut in the 2nd chicane,I flew it on 4th speed, dealing with 2-3 cars at 1 time)

Yeah, unless you cut chicanes, there's almost no way of winning it stock. The other cars are too fast.

Because I had buckets of money, I just fully tuned the Scuderia. Won by like 25 seconds =P

Fully stock except for racing softs, ECU tune, Engine Tune 1 & 2, oil change, sports air intake, catalytic convertor, fully customisable LSD and Weight Reductions 1 2 and 3.

Thanks.

Good first morning laugh, thanks rylan

I agree with you. Most of the people are claiming they can get 5th or 6th with the stock setup which is where i was. I could've maybe shaved 3-4 seconds off my time per lap if i really worked at it and i got lucky with where I caught the A.I. drivers...but that still wouldn't be enough to take first unless I started cutting corners.

Stock with oil change (516HP) got me to 9th and I couldn't get any better. Upgraded tires to Sports Medium and got to 6th.

I can't run consistent laps at Monza especially with MR cars. I'll get a lap at 1:57 and then the next lap will be 2:02. Traffic has a lot to do with it as does throttle control exiting the chicanes with my DS3. I use the R trigger and it seems like control isn't linear. Half throttle isn't really half throttle. It seems like trigger has no effect at all for the quarter of it's range. I am thinking about switching to using the right stick to see if it will help.

In any case, with practice and more consistent laps, I think I can probably get to 3rd with current set up, but I am going to have to go to sports softs or racing hards to catch the winner.

I can usually run laps consistently +/- 0.500 seconds with my DFGT wheel. If I'm on my game consistent to +/- 0.200. When I loaded the stock car, purchased directly from dealership (if I haven't used it, oil change shouldn't be necessary right?), I was about 25 seconds behind after lap 1 and 21 seconds behind after lap 2. There was no way I was going to shave off 7 seconds per lap without cutting chicanes.

I know I probably have faster times in me if I came real hot into the chicanes and nailed them perfectly...but it would take hours of practice with that car to shave off 7 seconds. i'd like to see a video of someone doing it before I bothered to try.

You will get a small HP boost with an oil change even on a car from the new car dealership.

I think you need to post consistent laps times of around 1:57 to catch the leader. It can definitley be done with my current set up, but just not by me.

I think I am going to have to switch to using the right analog stick for throttle. I have tried the triggers and even wioth trigger extenders, just don't like the throttle response and control. Hopefully, the analog stick will be more linear and allow for better response and control. Means ai neede to learn to drive all over again and that is frustrating.
