First of all, great car, first time trying it.... Raced it stock with Sports soft tyres and won, could have been done with Sports hard. But good race here

LSD, Fixed Sport Suspension, and Sport Exhaust, on Sport Hard tire, took the lead in the corner before the final chicane...

Bone stock car I can't get better than 7th...

I have been able to get within 5 seconds of first place with a bone stock car ( no oil change, stock tires) all assists off (abs 1). Just wondering if anyone has gotten closer without any tune. I can hit 1:45.5 lap times after a couple of hours but can't see gaining another .8 seconds per lap... Is this possible? If so how did u do it?

This one is tricky on the stock comfort softs, I was gaining but not enough. It is an interesting race, as the first 5 cars you pass have comfort softs, but the remaining cars in the field have sports hard tires.

With an upgrade to sport hard tires to match the top half of the field its a fun race, and you can throw the car around quite well, though the gear ratios are not the best for racing.

Hmm, I did terribly at this race. Ended up 7th I think. Bone stock, no oil change. Will try with change and some sports tyres later.

The Skyline Sedan is really the most good-natured car you could imagine. Even on Comfort Softs you can step on the gas so early, it's incredible, especially for a 300+ hp car.

Saying this, I also couldn't go fast enough for winning it stock. Got to within about 10 seconds at the finish, but no way to find 2 seconds per lap there.

Sports Hard easily give you those 2 seconds.

Note of advice: If you're going through the Seasonal Events in their given order, you really have to switch into another driving mode when you step into the Scuderia or otherwise you will spin out in the first corner. I did. :sly:

well try some sports soft, oil change and some cheap upgrades like air filter ( 450cr) & catalyst (500cr) and you 'll win easy.

Was finally able to finish this completely stock / comfort soft. One of the hardest challenges so far. Had to take advantage of two separate exploits/ slight grass short cuts. Best lap 1:43.5, just pipped him on the line. Switched to sports hard tyres afterwards and won by about 6 secs despite imperfect driving... Man it's all in the tyres.

I reckon pd should give two different flavours for each challenge... Eg x credits for gold with restrictions and x credits for beating first by a set margin (eg fully tuned)

I bow my head. I guess you pretty much went straight through the left-right-left up the hill right after start/finish, right...?

I fared the best on this one with stock, getting 7th :) Upgraded to match opponent tires (sport/hard) and an oil change, and got up to 2nd. I'll keep working at it with this setup.

This is a weird challenge... the first split I see the leader ahead by about 21 sec. Then within the next split or two, all of a sudden he pulls ahead to about 30-32 seconds and holds pace there for 2 or 3 laps. Then in the 3rd or 4th lap he seems to slow way down until I'm gaining like 8 or 9 seconds per lap. Tried it a few times and the same thing happened every time.

Thanks, sports softs made it very easy. Might try again with sports hard.... well, maybe I'll just leave it at this :)

@ snowgt - yeah, I needed to cut the track last corner and then a little over the hill after the straight... Gotta keep as much speed as you can (not easy cause the car handles like a boat) the air time over the hill is hard to control so that it doesn't screw everything up for the next corner. I wish pd would give some description as to what is possible for each race... Like a recommended, or 'advanced' car set up and award credits accordingly.

Jeez I had forgotten just how physically and mentally demanding that race is, especially with that car - wicked race.

SS and oil win by 8s

I changed to sports hard, as the leading AI all used them. Laptimes needed to be in the 1:44.xxx area to win, which is a great challenge.
Learning where you can overtake is a vital part of the race and driving clean lines.
Its a shame the events are pulled after the deadline, but Ill keep this challenge in mind in the future for practice . My personal challenge will be to drive 3 consequtive 1.43.9xx´s with this car.
