2 days in a row I have lost my 200% bonus after only having it for a few minutes.:ouch:

I get a couple of seasonal or remote races in and then I get a random "network error" and am logged out of the PSN. Today, I started up GT5, opened up my driver list, managed to get the credits from one driver, and then I had another "network error". I can't find anything wrong with my internet that would cause the interruption.

Why can't it just recognize that I have logged in before and still continue to give the bonus? Its not like it would be cheating to log in more than once a day.
 
I noticed something similar my login bonus increased my winnings to 170% I took my Ethernet cable out because I didn't want to stay connected all day long and what happens I do a race and no bonus even though I had in essence earn it just because I had logged out I was pretty annoyed to say the least why cant they save the bonus within the save file :dunce:.
 
Weird, I haven't had this. Though I signed in yesterday and today, both times they were at 200%, but I never had time to actually do races, so that may be why my bonus stayed where it was.

Hmm, I use wireless, so maybe it's related to actually disconnecting your PS3 from the internet, not just signing out. I've had no issues with retaining my bonus % over the last two days, but I also do not physically disconnect my PS3 at night, I only logout.

They are saying that when you don't have internet connection, the bonus is not given.

My bad, oh well I guess I'm okay, as my router is always on and right next to my PS3. Unless we lose power...
 
Mine just did the same thing. Got the network error message, signed back in but didn't receive the bonus for my next 3 races.
I can see a 2.1 coming up soon
 
I had the bonus when I first started the 2.0...
Today, even if online and all working properly, I couldn't get any prize multiplied x2 (as I have 200% bonus)... glitch?

O.T. you know guys we lost 5Milion cr.?

From doing the X2010 seasonal before Spec 2 right? I was quite annoyed when I realised that, but then I realised I would've been throwing away 4 million credits because my wallet is always at or around 18-19 million.
 
Mine was working fine until now no matter how often I raced or logged in and out, but now it just stopped working. The multifier doesnt even show up.
Hope theres a fix!
 
Can you recall exactly what you did before it stopped giving you the bonus?

To the other fellow, its an online bonus for logging in. Once you log out you won't get the bonus as you aren't logged in. If it was meant to be a regular bonus then it would have been hard coded into 2.0 to work that way. Every prize boost we received was online dependent, GT5 servers control bonuses not the client.
 
If your connection drops mid race, and you become signed out... No bonus. Traveling for work I often run a Verizon MiFi to just log me in for new seasonals, so this happens alot.
 
im getting some weard error..when i first open ps3 it logs me onto psn then when i open gt5 it logs me out..with some error id=211..cannot update or nothing really annoying help!
 
I got my 200% bonus today or supposed to. Then I got kicked from the server and naturally no bonus. I re-signed in psn and ran the grand valley 300km. No bonus so thinking it is due to a spec, I ran the compact seasonal. No bonus again even tho I am still logged in. Think gt5 server is unstable today. Got all sorts of trouble and error ranging 90**** to 719** to 717** to gt not starting.
Oh well, lucky it is virtual money and I am playing for enjoyment, not grinding.
For those with repeated server error don't be surprise if this happens.

the offline and online parts of GT5 are connected. There can be only one way to make sure you were on, that's if you're online.

I understand that. What I want to know is why you don't continue to get the bonus if you get back online? You get the bonus if you log in consecutive days but not for more than one login on each of those days? The check for how many days in a row should still work for each log in and still apply. It says the bonus is -Consecutive Login Bonus
When a user logs in consecutively, a bonus will now be applied to experience and race rewards. You are still logging in consecutively even if you get dropped due to a bad connection, flaky server, or act of nature.
 
This has happened to me too

Got a network error a few days ago, now the multiplier doesn't work at all despite multiple successful log-ins !!

This has been an issue discussed here for a while. If you get disconnected you will have to wait until the next day to get your bonus % back.

That's just the point, it's been a few days for me and the multiplier doesn't even reappear at all it's almost as if that function of the game has been completely removed.
 
i have the same problem after the update 2.01. it has only affected me after this update tho. i get the 200% bonus when first logging in if i lose connection at all i lose the bonus and cant get it back at all, until the next day.

so it means if i get disconnected, I won't get the bonus for the rest of the day, I think this is probably what happened to me now, I keep restarting the ps or the game, there's no log in bonus
 
Could someone explain to me why whenever I on the VUZE in my computer, it causes disconnection on my ps3, network error etc
 
My connection normally never drops out, but tonight it did for about 15 min for who knows what reason....hopefully the bonus is back tomorrow and theres a fix soon for this. It is unfair for it to take a whole day (or more!) to get your bonus back. :irked:
 
yea this "bug" is annoying i cashed in over one million bob creds, and relised the 200% bonus wasnt working as it had dropped the connection earlier so i lose over a million creds for nothing so now they are collecting.
 
*BUMP*

Just thought I'd share a tip with regards to this annoying oversight by PD: if you get disconnected while playing the game, reconnect to the PSN immediately through the in-game XMB (using the PS button to access). You can't switch menus before you attempt to reconnect, as this seems to be the point where the game decides to "forget" you have the login bonus. If you get disconnected during a loading screen, reconnect right away (the next menu loaded up is not a problem - it's not counted as 'switching menus').

My internet was really bad yesterday (something like 10 disconnects in the space of half an hour - I'm not kidding you), but I reconnected right away everytime, and I retained the 200%. I lost connection during a race, in the GT Life menu, in the OCD, in the garage, but I still retained the bonus.

I haven't tried yet if the game "forgets" when it saves data (unlikely as the bonus is not recorded in your save data, otherwise it would stay for the whole day) or when you get to the main menu (as it seems this is when the game updates with the server). But I'm not willing to risk my bonus for that :P So to be safe, just reconnect right away 👍

Of course, when you switch off your PS3 you won't get the bonus back. If you want, you could try the login bonus cheat mentioned here 👍

Hope this interim measure helps people with crappy internet connection like mine :) Ideally, this will be fixed in the next update *fingers crossed*

Again, logged out/back in and no bonus. It is indeed frustrating.

If you are having this issue, it appears there is only one fix.
Wait until the next day or change your PS3 time to reflect midnight.
If tried everything else, this works. If your able to sign right back in, it seems to keep your bonus going. Its the guys doing B-spec while sleeping (me) that are having trouble.
