Alright, so I use some nice Sony headphones and I needed some ear buds for my trip to Europe this summer. My headphones are too big for traveling so I picked up some MDR-EX10LP ear buds. I thought that with my previous experience with Sony I would love these. I try them on and it's literally just as bad as those free airplane headphones they give you pre-flight. The bass was awful. The highs were dreadful. Guys, help me pick something out so I don't make the same mistake. $30 or less. I got those for $20. In return for your help you will receive a cookie.

Try Koss headphones. They've been in the headphone game for almost ever and the sound quality is very nice for the price. They have different buds varying in price so I would look at their website to find what you're looking for.

I have the sony mdr-ncc it pretty good but what i would recommend would be in ear headphones by samsung not sure of specific one but samsung is good for cheap and good headphones. The choice is yours look at youtube videos for reviews is the best i can tell you I had cheap sonys for 30$ too it was horrible wasn't in ear.

Yeah, KOSS is the way to go if you can pick one up on sale. They're great headsets, I'm looking into the SB-45 myself. Their headphones and ear buds are just as good.

I'll have a look and see if anything turns up. Userally the $5 jobs from discount shops are better than $30 jobs, from what I've used, but I"ll have a sqiz anyway.

AKG and Sennheiser ear buds are good quality and fit into your budget too. I don't know if you want loud or clear bass, but AKG ear buds sound alright and balanced to me (I have a pair of K309's).

I've been rocking a set of JVC Marshmallows for something like two years now and they're great from what I can tell, and they cost something like $20 at Walmart. Downside is that after a while, the foam starts to break down and they're horrible dirt collectors. It's never bothered me though, and I'd consider buying a new set.

I got some very good ones(forget the brand) but they were $60 and I got them for my Zune, it had very good bass and good high notes.

M&M ear buds just ain't right
