Well okay.
I got my DFP today from Futureshop and I must say it surpasses my expectations to say the least. I love the way it feels and am already using MT nicely after 2 races. Now with all the good there is bound to be something bad, (seems like this is happening to me a lot these days :P ) when I pulled the brand new wheel out of the box I looked at the centercap and to my supprise was a cheesy Logitec logo where I was anticipating a flashy GT logo. Now is this just me? Am I missing something? Anyone else have the cheezy Logitec center cap?

Here's a pic for thoes of you that have the GT logo to "see what your missing..."

:grumpy:

I think it was the 1st set of DFPs to come with the GT logo (it was designed pretty much for GT4, right?).

In other words, only the 1st few hundred or so (maybe more) were sold with the GT logo, or that's what Logitech told my friends and I when we asked why Jason's DFP had a Logitech logo.

Mine doesn't have a center cap at all... Had to remove it to replace the switches for the gear levers...

Ill just have to find a demo one somewhere and pry the cap off when the salesmen arnt looking ;)
Don't bother... The double sided tape it's attached with will make absolutely sure you'll destroy it.. Which is, btw. the reason I don't have one on mine ;)

I destroyed it when I removed it (GT logo, bought in march 2005). The tape is so strong... I dont really care, I put another real steering wheel.

Logitech is a cool company, but compared to the "GT" logo....... yeah, sucks pretty bad.

I just got a new wheel set from
logitech a week ago and it had the GT logo. As does my first wheel set. (bought around Feb,2005)

That logo is so funny. Because of it that wheel almost looks like some good fake of the Logitech product. LOL!! I got the GT logo ofcourse.

It does

I've never seen this before, but it looks like nothing to worry about :) Maybe you can get a replacement one or something, i'm not sure...

Huh, I've bought 2 wheels, and both have the GT logo. The second wheel I bought was only around 2 months ago, direct from logitech (out-of-warranty replacement).

hello boys and girls.
Next friday's my birthday (the end of my teen unfortunately), and to my surprise, my best friend and also my girlfriend came over with a bulky pressie for me! O_O

I peeled off one side of the wrapping, and there was the Logitech logo printed on the box. AAAA! A DFP!!
Not only that it - seems they have managed to find a DFP with the GT logo in the centre of the wheel!!!

I guess with great girlfriends comes great pressies =D
The same goes for best friends. ;)

Awesome stuff, lemme go wreck my arm a little more with the force feedback.

couldnt wait till november for the g25 so i went out and got the dfp today form futreshop also

suprise!
it has the logitech logo (i guess its expected since the box art had logitech log also!)

now, question for everyone, probably not the right place for it, but, here goes anyway, I have the Driving Force (not Pro), that doesnt have the stick, however it does have F1 style gear change flippers, am I missing out on anything by not having a DFP?

You have no idea what your missin, if you really don't wanna drop the cash without knowing first (I have no regrets) then try to use a friends:tup:

There isn't any major differences between the two (except the caps, of course), correct?
Correct? I'm afraid not. The DF has the "normal" video game steering wheel lock-to-lock of about 270 degrees (an estimation, I have never used one) and the DFP has 900 degrees to simulate a real car.
