Anyone find that the brakes on some cars are woeful? Laferrari and the Enzo are two prime examples where they seem to have have the stopping power of a shopping trolley. It really does affect the enjoyment of driving the cars, which is a shame when you’ve been grinding to afford them. I wish PD would offer some braking upgrades such as bigger discs, calllppiers and pads, why they’ve removed this option when they had it from previous games is beyond me.

Quite frankly, I enjoy the challenge of dealing with, say, the Shelby Cobra's "stomp and pray" brakes, especially when racing against cars with modern brakes. Makes for exciting racing when overall the cars achieve similar lap times

I bought the Ferrari Enzo and took it for a drive at Nurburging GP circuit and I also notice the stopping distance was terrible.

I dont think the brakes are the culprit, it is the tire modeling in GTS, ver 1.10 now.

The grip falls apart so suddenly in this game. Biggest problem is the lack of feel in any tire deformation, sidewall flex, and incorrect modelling of slip angle traction. During heaving braking or when the cars begin to slip and get yaw angle, the traction falls off too fast, and this is the effect felt in heavy braking that is happening with the Enzo. At Nurburging the very first corner, the hairpin, i over shot that many times when I first got in the Enzo. I had to learn to think of braking way earlier than what I would of guessed.

Just for comparisons I turned on Project Cars 2 and Driveclub which both have the Ferrari Enzo. The car is these two games is so much more enjoyable to drive than in GTS. I cant believe I spent 1million credits for it in GTS and it drives like crap. I can enjoy driving numerous laps with it in PC2 around the same Nurburging GP circuit but in GTS it feels like work trying to drive it. With practice I can adapt to it in GTS, but its not fun to drive.

You seem to know your stuff and you’re probably right. I noticed ABS was reducing my braking pressure quite a bit so I lowered the ABS power to weak but all that did was make it easy to lock up and lose control of the car. I’ve resorted to putting racing hard tires from sports soft on the Laferrari which helps but isn’t particularly realistic. I still have to brake way earlier than I expect the real car would be capable.

Not sure if anyone else does this, but when I'm trying a different car out for the 1st time I turn on the braking indicator to show me where I SHOULD start braking (not to be confused with the aid to actually make the car brake, but the one where only the word brake flashes). After I get a pretty decent idea of where the ideal braking zones start I turn the aid back off and continue on from there.
