I'm having issues with front brake lock up.
Equipment is G27 with Nixim springs.
I have tried adjusting brake bias, which has helped some.
I also have moved the slider all the way to 5.00.
Suggestions?

I've always wondered about the brake slider as well. I don't think it's moved from 1.9x or so since I started (DFGT) but I'm at the point where I'm starting to mess with all the settings now that I've gotten used to the sim in general.

I'm pretty sure that better pedals have a suggested lower setting (<2.0), but I don't know what it helps with / accomplishes.

Edit: this may help: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/1840881.page#4127577
I'm going to try higher settings just to see what happens to lap times / control as I'm constantly worried about locking up a couple of cars (MX5, Star Mazda) now that I've turned off brake assists. It's not a huge problem, but if it can be fixed enough that I'm not half-way braking all the time when I start braking it's a step in the right direction.

What car are you driving?

I think 0 is just for load cell brakes isn't it ?

I used it with my DFGT pedals too before I got CSPs. Basically, the way I understood it was the higher the factor, the more it would multiply the distance traveled on a potentiometer based pedal. The lower the number, the more linear the distance is (it doesn't exponentially increase sim pressure when your foot is applied at a constant rate. Think of '0' being 1:1 pedal to sim and 5 being 1:5 ratio. That's how I understood it.

It seems to be worse with the Star Mazda, but really most cars.
When I go to the controls, I can see brake bar moving as I change the slider.
But when on track, they are locking @ 1/4 pedal.

I'm new to the Star Mazda and I have the exact same problem - I lock the brakes up a lot. Interesting that the slider could help, I always thought it was just a car that needed more time to get used to (I'm sure that's a big part of it too as I've only run it at Zolder for 2 hours or so).
I'm really light on tracks / series this week so I think it's time to look into getting all my settings dialed in. Big practice week coming :D

Yeah, from what I've read on the forums, 5.00 should be the lowest brake force.
I've just done some laps, and have improved my times by close to a second.

It's a really fun car, after Spa (I lost a ton of SR, but it was a blast) I was ready to run the full season in the SM but life got in the way.

I also have the Nixim mod in my G25 pedals. I think I have my brake curve factor set at 3.22. Iirc, a larger number is less responsive brake and a lower number is more responsive. I started around 2.5 and as the mod wore in I had to raise the number. I think it is just a personal preference kind of thing. Just have to play around with it to see what feels right for you.

I lowered the value for the MP4 and saw an immediate improvement in lap times. The brakes indeed felt more responsive. Between the ABS and good headphones locking was not a problem.
Applying the ideas to the SRF which was always too twitchy for my liking, I raised it's slider and ran way better at Interlagos as the car locked up less and was much more stable. Knocked 2.5 seconds off my PB just due to the added stability (basically I wasn't 'saving' the car all the dam time  ) from that and altering the brake balance slightly. Very cool 👍
