Braking indicator isn't accurate at all at Le Mans, Virage de Mulsanne (full course layout)

Yes, it is not good.
In the cases where it works as intended, it doesnt show optimal braking, but is just giving a suggestion (rough estimate).

If you try to locate something nearby on the track that will serve as a braking starting point and dont rely on the overlay, you will become faster eventually.

Yeah ik it's only a suggestion and it isn't the brightest thing about GT7. I rely on the overlay only when trying new/different cars other than what I'm used to, so that's how I noticed that (was driving my new Ferrari VGT)

EDIT: I really thought the Ferrari would stop that quickly xd

EDIT2: Turns out the Ferrari VGT actually can stop almost just like that, but other cars have trouble with that

The issue is at Le Mans, Virage de Mulsanne (full course layout).
It seems to work only after the tiny bend just before the corner
For all corners, the indicator is just approximate, and varies by car and with speed. It is part of becoming a good driver to start finding your own brake markers and switch the braking indicator off.
Braking markers are visual items next to the track, that indicate where you have to start applying the brakes.

Only use assists if you're new to the tracks or racing at all. Other than that, send them out the window.
Turned it all off as soon as I got to the game. These indicators on track are so distracting.

Agreed, 100%

Although for whatever reason I often leave the brake indicators on anyway. I have noticed for quite a while now that at Le Manz their are 2 specific sections that the indicators will at times not show up at all.

1. At the end of the very last straightaway on the first half of the race
2. The last section where you can reach high speeds before the long right hand turn that enters the slalom… where if you miss its a large patch of dirt
