You sure like it purple 👍, I know it's taken a while since I told you I would drop by to try some of your tunes, but hey, here I am, sorry about the delay. When I looked at your list the one that I wanted to choose was the Prowler
, but no go for that one yet, I prefer slower cars to the super cars, for one thing I can sort of drive them. So since that one was not available I went with the RX7, and I wasn't disappointed.
Didn't want to just go on a track and do some laps, so I opted for A-spec race in the Int.B Tour of Japan, Twin Ring Montegi on SH as in the spec sheet. This car has very good acceleration, it's two faced for turning
, depending on the speed and type of curve you either make it with no effort or your visiting your friends who are cheering you on from the sidelines
. Once you know this and adjust accordingly things pickup for the better. It's a free spirit car who would love to make you drift through curves, excite you with big smoke shows and then peel off into the sunset. Out of curve acceleration must be controlled at the risk of turning around and watching your opponents wizz by you as you try to collect your wits and make the same maneuver to replace your sprits in the right direction. Braking should be planned before applying, hard braking is not recommended and should be avoided, the brake balance gives it a nervous twitch. Oh did I forget to mention that the GTR was never in the running
, too bad for him this car was there.
I also tried it at Super - Ascari 10 lap challenge, I did win easily but it took 5 laps and a new set of tires for me to understand how to drive this car. I used SS tires, with a 650PP limit and the McLaren F1 and FXX I didn't want to be left behind. My first 5 laps were lets say entertaining
, remember what I said about the car wanting to drift, this is NOT the place for this, tire wear was disastrous, down to 2/2 on the rear, I was first but lost my place just before going into the pit lane because of massive tire spinning. With the second set I drove with an economical state of mind and that work to perfection, it did take some of the zest out of driving but I got my 400 000+ credits to pay for this adventure. Oh yes, finished with the rear tires at 4/4 and an easy win.
Beautiful tune but not for the faint of heart or for trolls with all thumbs and no dexterity.👍👍👍
Thanks for the review. I'll have to go back and drive it and update it, but can't right now I'm in the garage Brewing Beer 👍
You should really try The Chaparral at LeMans it's a helluva lot of Fun and you make a lot of credits. I don't know if you use a wheel or DS3, if you use a DS3 set the steering sensitivity to 0 or -1 and TC,ABS at 1 and SRF on. It's made for that Track, over 250 mph in the straightaways and the rest just Fun Driving. Back to Brewing!!! I'll let you know about the RX-7 update.
