4th June In The Town Of Grand Valley

I driven to the TVR dealer in my old V8S, wondering if there were any new 350C's in stock, I ask the salesman and he directs me to a lovley shiny blue TVR 350C, I bought it for 50,000 and my old V8S, when I get home I see a flyer on a nearby lampost, It reads, British GT series taking place at Grand Valley Speedway on the 5th June 2006. Thats tomorrow I thought, then I looked at my new TVR then back at the flyer.

5th June At Grand Valley Speedway.

I arrived, very late, after being stuck behind a Fiat 500 on the way, All the other cars were already on the grid. A Tvr Tuscan, Lotus Espirit, Tvr Griffith,
TVR Cerbera Speed Six, A TVR 350C like mine but in yellow :yuck: and me.
Someone came over to me, dont know who and told me the prize was 12,000 and 200 a spec points.
I knew what a spec points were, I'd won them im my old V8S before, but never 200, I did'nt think I'd win.

The Race

The lights turned green and I was off, Falling slightly behind at the start but I caught up and outbraked the Griffith and Cerbera, I was much faster out of the corner then the other 350C and waved to the driver as I went past, up ahead was a light slightly uphill corner, the Lotus ahead braked but I did'nt need to. I was side by side with him for the next corner were I had the inside and slipped past. By the next hairpin I was winning, outbraking the Tuscan easily.
Now I just had to keep it all together, with a much more powerfull TVR snapping at my bumper.
On the home strech the Tuscan overtook me again but I outbraken him on the fist hairpin, but on the light turns leading up to the second hairpin, I did'nt brake enough and went wide nearly onto the grass, which is when I was overtaken again by the TVR.
Final lap, I'd retaken the lead on the bridge leading up to the tunnel,
Now with two corners to go the Tuscan was just behind me, on the home strech it was getting closer and closer, it pulls out from the draft and comes side by side with me, nearly at the finish. up came the screen.
Yesssssss I had won :)

TVR 350C - 6.29.832 (I think)
TVR TUSCAN - + 0.132
LOTUS ESPIRIT - + 0.476
TVR 350C - + 0.953
TVR CERBERA SPEED 6 - + 4.593
TVR GRIFFITH - + 5.632

PRIZE - 12,000 And 200 a spec points.

Thanks for reading,

Nice report 👍

I love races like this, ultra close all the way to the line against a much more powerful car. Nice one!

Hey, I like yellow on the TVR's. That's what my 350C is rockin'. Hope, I'm not offending anyone, lol. Great report I love reading these type of deals.

Nice job George, TVR's are great fun and have about the best performance/price ratio out there, as gregc said its a real thrill to win by a hair's breath against more powerful cars, even in yellow that car looks damn good.

TVR's: you either love 'em or hate 'em, i happen to love them and I am happy to read about them in your report, more "british" car reports please.

Wow George! For someone who I'd previously seen make a lot of one-line posts and has recently received a temporary ban for low quality posts, this is a great way to make a comeback!
Like the report and the pictures! Well done, keep it up! +rep! 👍
