So, I'm a guy who likes most forms of transport, trains being one of them. So I decided to tell you some train journeys I have made. Only people who live in the South-East of England will know where these places are. I'll also include whether the trains have been delayed for complainers like me.

I will use pictures from Google Images to show what trains I went on.

So, shall we start?

A long time ago, I went by train from near Dover to York to go to the railway museum to see the Mallard (Well, it's fast, and therefore important).

First, I took a train from my normal station to Ashford International:

Built to replace 'slam door' trains, the Class 375 is swanky, comfy and entirely nearly completely not British (COUGH***Bombardier***COUGH). The one I went on wasn't Connex, it was Southeastern. They currently are being refurbished, getting a new livery, similar to the one below:

Second, I went on one of these to London St Pancras International:

It's a class 395, it's one of the fastest trains in Britain, and look at it! It's too swanky for existence!

Well, when I got to St Pancras, what to do to get up North is to cross the road, to King's Cross, which is where I got on of these to York:

Built some time ago for the electrification of the line, the Class 91 is sleek and smooth. But I wish the locomotive version of it wasn't liveried as a loco.

I thoroughly enjoyed my journey. There were no delays at all, and I got a nive lunch on the train to York.

I'll be working on this in a moment.
Seriously, is that all you have here?

I took a train ride once. It was cool.

As much as clutter impedes exposure of popular discussions and navigation of the Fora thereof, multiple threads approaching the same topic (Trains, for instance) from various angles only disperses focus on the subject - and is definitely not helpful in keeping relevant subject matter in one easy-to-find place.

Making a thread doesn't have to be a moment of glory, a way to pass the time, or a perma-billboard for a userID long gone - it is a proper function; discussion around a subject, and the dissemination and sharing of relevant information about that subject.

If you have the want to relate tales (with pictures) of your personal journeys about a small segment of the Railway world, I'm sure you would be more than welcome by the group in the Railfan Thread - a link has already been provided you by a helpful member.
If, however, you just need to vent there are plenty of threads for that.

You may also request the staff to merge whatever is in here (or whatever is pertinent) with that thread focused on Railway transport - which in fact contains everything revolving around railway transport from diecast models to vacations.

Welcome to GTPlanet. :)

Shem makes 4 hours worth of train journeys through England (specifically London) each day. They suck. There's no reason to talk about them at all other then to say how crud they are.

End.
But maybe Shem saw nice car or nice house along way and Shem wanted to talk about it?

Take it from someone obsessed with roads: This is thread is worthless without pictures.

Shem pretty much snoozes all of his train journeys. Shem does advise those travelling on the Circle line of delays this week though.

Shem also likes to refer to himself in the third person.

I don't know about you but I just read my whole post in Jamaican accent.

I'm pretty sure all the non-European users may want to leave this thread, as most of the places I go to you won't of heard of. Unless you like trains and English people complaining.

Wow. Im not an American so I can stay here.

You probably need to learn alot about posting in a forum. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure all the American users can leave this thread,
That's their call, not yours.
most of the places I go to you won't of heard of.
So far you've named two places. One is the UK's most famous sea port and one end of the busiest shipping lane in the world and the other is a major historical city that has a famous marching Duke in a nursery rhyme and a famous King Richard who is part of one of the best-known mnemonics of all...

When is this thread going to get some content?

And the content is... NOW! (Please view OP)

And they're not even your pictures. Plus no pictures of the best train you mentioned? Where are your pictures of the Mallard? Without them, this pointless thread is even more pointless.
