So I'm doing the Tsukuba 9 hour endurance aspec race. I was about 2 hours in when accidentally hit a car on the last long right hand corner, which caused me to go into the pit entrance lane and hit the pit entrance inside wall. I wasn't in the main pit area yet, so when the car hit the entrance wall, the car bounced back onto the main straight on the track.
Here's where it gets crazy. The pit menu box comes up asking me what tires and how much fuel to put it. But I was on the main straight. I click "ok" so that the box would go away and I could just keep racing. But when I clicked it, the computer took over. So now I'm lmao watching the computer trying to basically go through the pit wall along the main straight trying to get into the pits. Of course it fails and just reverses and tries again. It does so until it reaches the end of the pit wall and decides that it will just make a lap and go back in. Meanwhile I'm still just watching as I have no control over the car.
The car goes around the track, but to my surprise it decides to keep going. For the next 30 laps I watch as essentially, my aspec race has turned into a bspec race. *note that I had pitted a couple laps before this all happened* I was enjoying the fact that I didn't have to do anything and was getting an aspec race done.
But then I goes downhill from there. The car runs out of fuel, I assumed it would go into the pits and from there I would have to race again. But no, now it's stuck at 50mph going round and round endlessly. I was hoping that the tires would run out, but alas, the lowest amount of tire left was about 25% and it wouldn't go any lower (was getting more cold with each passing lap).
I tried pressing every single button trying to get it to pit, but to no avail. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Were you able to get it back under your control?
