I have a project I'd like to start working on in GT5 but am having a hard time trying to figure out a scientific way of doing it. I would like to buy all of the cars that I am interested in (maybe hundreds who knows) and chart the time each car takes to lap nurburgring nordschleife once, perfectly stock, and then chart it again for each car after it is tuned. Don't ask me why, this just fascinates me - maybe I will find hidden gems in the game that perform better than I would have thought.
I would like to do this using one of my Bspec drivers, in order to produce the most consistent driving performance between all of the cars. Lets face it, if i'm driving, there are far too many variables in play for my data to be at all credible.
The problem is, there's no Bspec time trial that I can find. Am I missing something? I've been trying to get by using various bspec races that utilize this track, however, too often the other cars get in the way of obtaining relevant data. I'm only able to get a clean lap time with extremely fast or extremely slow cars. This is despite the fact that one of the race series available uses higher end race cars. The AI drivers just seem to drive them slowly enough that they fail to run away from slower, less powerful cars that I'm trying to test.
Do any of you have any ideas for me? Maybe this is something that will be made available in the future?
