bt broadband problem UK

hi,
have any of you got broadband with bt openworld?

if you have, have you bought a new PC since having broadband and tried to get your internet working?

i am having trouble connecting my new pc......and no i am not trying to have both connected at once, i am purely trying to have it on my new pc..

any help would be appreciated.

The way it works with Telewest Blueyonder (which may or may not help) is that you register your network card's MAC address (get this by typing winipcfg or ipconfig /all) with the service provider, and only then will you be able to connect to the service.

You should be able to register it by phoning the helpdesk. Blueyonder won't allow you to register a MAC address using the on-line facilities when you're dialled in from another network.
