What with the departure of Honda (well the works team anyway) and that backmarker known as Proton, who still thinks the BTCC is going to have a good year?
The only thing Im looking forward to is seeing Matt Neal in a DC5 Integra!!!

Is Anthony Reid still driving an MG? If so, I'm happy.

We Yanks get horrible BTCC coverage, have to wait for the off-season to see races. But so long as the graphite & green X Power cars are up in front and Anthony Reid is still taking race wins, I'm happy.

Doesn't hurt that I own a 1970 MGB GT.

Well, i preferred the black n silver 04 car myself!!! But im a Honda supporter so am well miffed that the works Honda team are out. That means im gonna av to like orage for this year!!! Go team Dynamics!!

The BTCC has been kept in very low profile this year, and with soo many teams and drivers leaving I'm kinda disapointed. BTCC was supposed to be back up on the up to it's former glory days of the mid 90's, but it's not looking like that. At least Lexus are back, I love the IS200's which are ran. Just hope we get a decent fight this year and that Muller doesn't run away with it.

Seat are gonna rule the BTCC this year its the only decent car since vauxhall are running a new astra and i think reid is with the MG team in the DTM this year

I only have to wait 21 more days until the Thruxton rnd, is around w00t cannot wait its BTCC rnd at Thruxton is mostly a sell out never seen not many spaces else to sit.

Which is why its one of the best motor racing events, near me every year aswell as having great bumper to bumper action yay.

It always confused me after the BTCC all changed after the late 90s. All the cars changed & most of the drivers left. These days I can't even remember when its on

Were always saloons before by more recently it seems like nearly anything can race. Although theres still plenty of full contact battles (yay) I still don't like it as much as in the 90s.

/Although looking at the BTCC website it looks like most of the drivers are still there. I guess thats what happens when you forget to watch it for 5 years

There was no mention anywhere that it was on ITV. Crap, I thought it was just on Motors TV as well. The ITV webiste usually has something on it but as they took down the BTCC page i thought they weren't covering it anymore. Crap. Looked close though from looking at the race review. Shame the Lexus was soo slow.

Ok I have started posting up the photos from the BTCC at Thruxton which I went to in my motorsports topic.

All photos are up now and did you know Jason Plato lives mostly in Monte Carlo and wow what a way he lives.

Made a mistake I will be going to the racing on Sunday looking forward to it a lot w00t.

I also went to the Thruxton round, amazing day and congrats to Dan Eaves, new first for the BTCC, a single driver winning all three races in a single meet.

Good day for more sillyness between Mullar and Plato, one of the single most bizzare safety car laps ever, and sure to keep them at it all season.

The supporting races were also top notch, and some good safety cars as well (M5 and Clio V6 255), great weather too.

Scaff where were you sitting I was sitting near the Complex where a phone lost power while it was ringing and I was in front of some people laughing.

Also that bit where the Porsche 911 stoped was funny, I could see them looking behide while the BTCC cars did not slow down as funny as ever.

Not far from you, I was half way between Allards and the complex, traditional spot for me as it gives a good view of the start/finish line, the first corner and the enterance to the complex.

I was just behind the TV camera that was trackside, it was a damn good day and the weather was amazing
