Ha! Giles I actually managed to be Awake/In the house to catch it.

It was great, Honda and MG are looking Stronger, but Vauxhall are still ahead of the pack with James Thompson and Yvan Muller getting 1st and 2nd in both rounds. Peugeot still look crappy but they have changed cars from the 406 coupe to the arse ugly 307.

My favorite bit was when good old Matt Neal called Gavin Pyper a 'Plonker' just after he got shunted off the track.

So did anyone else catch it?

That's the first time in about two years you've managed it isn't it?!

I was working, and forgot it was on, so didn't set the video.

Seemingly the Hondas are going really well. I have to wonder how much determination MG have for the long haul - I'm sensing some Toyota in them, in that they will be also-rans for a few years, and will just give up.

The interesting thing about the 307 is that it's designed by ex-Sauber, Arrows Technical Director Sergio Rinland.

I can't believe they're not going to Knockhill this year. :banghead:

Heh well I hope MG stay, although they seem to have the biggest car in the touring car class, so maybe they should change to a smaller coupe model like all the other teams. Warren Hughes managed to cop 4th in the first race, but the second round was all DNF for all the MG's I think.
I wish toyota would come back, or someone get that IS200 touring car we saw in 2001 back in it. Mind you I would like to see Ford in the BTCC again, but they would probably just use a Focus or something.
Whadaya mean no knockhill? :(

Neal was seen live by viewers of Motors TV quickly exiting his beached Honda and heading over to Pyper who was still sat in his Astra Coupe. Words were exchanged and Neal was obviously upset calling Pyper “a plonker.” Pyper said, “Matt was upset when he approached me and all I could do was apologise. It was an unfortunate accident.”

Well I would have probably used more colurfull language than that, but I think they told everyone not to swear.

Well I think that MG had a strategy: 25 in British Rally Championship, 45 in BTCC, and other stuff elsewhere. It's all backfiring principally due to political infighting, so my contacts tell me.

Another manufacturer or two would be really good, although as we've seen time and time before, too many manufacturers spoil the series.

I know. It's so annoying. And the only race worth going to that they have this year is on a weekend when I can't go! :banghead:
