Geeky seems to have gone AWOL but we can decide it for ourselves, we can always change it in the lounge anyway

I vote dry, most people will have practiced in the dry anyway. Plus it will avoid any confusion around static water/changeability etc.

Dry is my vote. I think we should vote whether we want dry or not dry, we can establish later what we mean by not dry but for now lets decide on the two. Dry obviously means there will be no rain whatsover, not dry means that there will either be some surface water or it'll rain etc.

Dry=2

Dry=3
Not Dry=0

It's a good idea I guess but I think this is going to need some more time to test and evaluate. I know I came up with this idea and backed it, but maybe it's better for S3. We could end up with the BMWs really struggling and the Audis walking it.

I was tempted to vote for Not Dry, but I can foresee there being some kind of last minute glitch that screws everything up.

cunny17
my prediction for vote

All cars except Audi=dry
Audi drivers=not dry

Believe me. Thats not my biggest worry. I could make my bimmer a FF car by sending 60% of the weight hanging on her nose. Im more worried about someone overshooting and smashing my backside. We just need to iron all issues out...

I think the slipstream will make it a close race .

Rain might make it a safety car fest , its probably best to start it bone dry so if it rains it doesnt get too undriveable

Could we have this on the OP?

Safety Car:

1: Static position
When the Safety Car (SC) is static, it is parked around the end of turn 1.

2: When deploying

The SC will announce it's deployment by posting "SC", "sc in" or similar in the text chat.
It will deploy when: 3 or more cars are considered dangerous (slow, spinning, static) or 3 or more drivers request it. Any SC will have the reason investigated. Abuse of the SC can result in disqualification and a 1-week-no-replacement ban, depending on situation and severity.
When on the track, the SC will wait for the cars around turn 1.
When the message is displayed, the positions may no longer change and overtaking is forbidden. Only exception is if the car is a lap behind.

3: Behind the SC

You may at no point overtake the SC. Anyone doing so will risk disqualification.
The SC will try to keep a speed of about 50 mph/80 kmh, faster or slower depending on track and situation.
When catches up to the SC row, the no overtaking rule and it's exception is still at play.

4: When SC is leaving

The SC will, in time, heavily accelerate. This means it will be leaving the track that lap. The no overtaking is now completely enforced without exceptions.
At this point the leader takes the role of SC and may Drider the speed. Still no overtaking. When everyone has crossed the last corner of the track. the first placed driver may restart the race at any time. PLEASE BE ALERT AND STAY AWAKE

Race Behaviour:

Strictly no bumping overs of track. This is touring cars so grinding and rubbing is permitted but there is a limit to how aggressive you can be. I have seen nothing like this series in turn 1. Some drivers seem to think the race is won or lost in turn 1. When approaching turn 1 drivers seem to think that going 4 wide here is acceptable, If you are on the inside then surely common sense tells us that we have to go slightly slower to make the corner otherwise you will run wide thus taking everyone on our outside with us.

Dive-Bombing up the inside is a bog problem. Drivers are braking 10-15 meters later than usual and are just forcing their way up inside and are using the other car to help turn in. When you are too far behind just try again later. Race is long enough. You dont have to go for it then and there. Its just ridiculous. Also when racing in a group with other drivers in front of you. Surely you must brake earlier in order to prevent crashing into them and sending the other car into the barriers. THIS IS JUST COMMON SENSE.

Grid Line-up

Everyone must read the post explaining grid line-up before turning up to the race. You must be aware of where you are starting. At around 7pm geeky will start regs check. First FR and 4WD enter track first followed by all FF cars. Once on track you MUST STAY IN PITS. when everyone is in pits geeky will call out the grid. When your name appears in the chat box the pole car goes ahead and lines up just before turn 1. Then the second placed driver lines up behind pole and so forth. It is not hard at all. When lined up DO NOT DRIVE. Also PLEASE STAY AWAKE AND DON'T GO ANYWHERE WHEN REGS ARE STARTING. Also typing is strictly prohibited once regs check and line-up is in procession.

When everyone has successfully lined up, geeky will start race. Any confusions please let me know.

Most importantly PENALTY SYSTEM

The accidents and crashes in this series have gone beyond a joke. We've gone sooo far in fact that we pretty much have hit downright brain dead.

Accidentally cutting or hitting other drivers and overtaking = give the position back

Cutting an chicane or abusing track limits = a warning

Repeatedly cutting or abusing tracks limits= 5second penalty each time after 2nd warning warning.

Abusing the weight or the Hp = Disqualification

Offensive driving and purposely hitting other drivers = 10 second penalty. It
may vary depending on the situation

Dive-Bombing and crashing into other car=10 second penalty

Overshooting brakes and sending other car off= 10 second penalty

Proposed Penalty System inspired by rolo.

Repeatedly cutting or abusing tracks limits= 2 points
driving and purposely hitting other drivers = 4 points
(Doing this twice in the whole series) Dive-Bombing and crashing into other car = 3 points
(Doing this twice in the whole series) Overshooting brakes and sending other car off= 3 points.

6 points and you are banned for a race

We are going for a british motoring approach so 12 points and your out permanently.

it's high speed ring not the nordschleife, come on guys!

All of this is based on what I saw from the replay. I obviously did not watch the whole 20 mins of each race from each drivers perpsective. That would take me 600 mins. I am relying on drivers to report to me or any other steward. I am calling on rally to help out with reviews also. I dont want anyone to feel hard done by. I am just trying to make this a better experience for us all. As you may have noticed we have lost a lot of our season 1 drivers due to a lot of problems. Hopefully these problems can be tackled. A lot of us such as me are just trying to have a good fun CLEAN battle.

Any appeals must be made before Thursday 30th August 15:00 BST
Appeals will be subject to review by other stewards.

Is it worth me updating the points?

Do the 10-second penalties mean loss of position?

Also, what is the score regarding penalty points?

Well, fyi killa I'm never receiving any pm regarding reports, so no matter how much I want to help it's like nobody let's me know. I just want to say if this keep going on I'll step down from my steward post.

Seems resonable, and totally agrees with your opinion on the necessity of penalties :)
Congrats Skeng, a fair victory! 👍

Im not picking on you or anything mate. Just wanted a helping hand so I can check more thoroughly. I only received one PM and that wasnt even to report. He just wanted to give me a clarification....

Hate to ask further questions, but which races are these penalties for? 1 or 2?

What are the penalty point totals?
